Both titles are about the psychological warfare between two characters. They feature the mind games of two strong protagonists who will make you root for both of them at the same time. Obviously Kaguya-sama is a romance based mind game, while Death Note is a detective series.

Cat series shorts with a very lighthearted story. Definitely both are for children, and the stories are all mostly, but not always, confined to just that episode.

Toradora!

Both Toradora and Clannad are romance series with a school setting. Both series also tackle the issue of family problems, with Tomoya and his father in Clannad, and Taiga and her family in Toradora. They both feature a heart-wrenching tale of love and loss (though Clannad targets this more in After Story). Both series also sends the message of enjoying the years that you have in high school, as this short amount of time can create many memories that can last forever.

Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou
|
Both series are set in a world after civilisation has ended, however, despite the end of civilisation across the world, there are some beauties and wonders within the world that are hidden and worth living for, despite the apocalypse. Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryoko approaches this in a more light hearted manner, with Yuri and Chito having their unbreakable bond to keep them going and loving the world that they once knew. Planetarian is a much darker experience, with Yumemi clinging onto what she learnt for all the time that she has lived for, and the Junker discovering this beauty that Yumemi was a part of for many years.

Ousama Game The Animation
|
Both series have people forced into a game with rules based off of a similar game that people are familiar with. These series both show a lot of gore and death, but Ousama Game is more graphic with the deaths while Btooom! is more graphic with the violence itself. They both also have a kill to survive aspect.
