Highly enjoyable and fun read. We do see some pretty predictable scenarios but nothing goes stale. The story moves along quite nicely and doesn't dwell too long on character inadequacies.
The art was great. The Prince reminds me of Tamaki from Ouran and our main girl, who is supposed to have a F-cup bra wasn't drawn to look like that. Her proportions fit. Can you imagine drawing F-cups? They'd take up the whole page! I did think there would be more smut but the sex scenes were tastefully presented.

Most of my review is for the second story of this manga Bitter Trap. I had written one before but something weird happened so I'm reposting it here. The rating mostly comes from Bitter Trap.
I will make a small comment on the first story though. It was pretty good. Of course you've got the bad boy in position of power and the good girl subordinate. The artwork is good and the story is a good read. So check it out!
On to my original review--Bitter Trap
The story line is pretty common--damaged rich boy hurts poor girl, girl wants revenge. Although
...
it isn't too clear that her revenge is fulfilled on first reading. However, if you look a little further you can somewhat see it. A little more development in that area would have made it easier to understand.
Don't get me wrong this isn't a whole back and forth revenge thing. The male lead, Yoshito's, brothers add humor to our constantly picked on heroine who is strong willed, honest and fun, while at the same time being soft and sympathizing. Instead of giving in to Yoshito's distrusts she pushes and challenges him, a welcome relief from this genre's wilty heroines.(the ones I've been reading lately seem to have the helpless, naive girl syndrome)
I can't comment too much on the art, in one cel the body position looked awkward but all in all I enjoyed looking at everyone and everything. The drawings are simple with clean lines and a clear picture.
I thoroughly enjoyed the story and really liked how the end was presented, it suited the story and the characters.
I would have loved to see this as more than a one shot.

I really enjoyed reading this, so much so that I marathoned it. The focus is on the main male character, Hakuron, who is a mafia kingpin. You can read the summary to get what the story is about but it revolves around Hakuron and Kurumi. Due to his status as a mafia boss and the way he grew up, Hakuron has difficulty verbalizing how he feels for Kurumi. For her part, as the typical naive, helpless girl, Kurumi also is too shy and not confident enough to let Hakuron know the truth of her feelings, but she tells everyone else. (though
...
I think she says it on more than one occasion before the actual dramatic confession near the end, maybe the author forgot that or it just didn't count under the circumstances)
There are some scenes where the characters look a bit weird or some part of the drawing looks off but for the most part the artwork is pretty good. The sex scenes are drawn pretty well and despite the quantity of them they stay pretty hot.
The story is pretty predictable as Hakuron gets a little rough with Kurumi in the middle, and things get a bit stale here and there. As I read more of this genre, I am finding similar redundancies throughout it and Haou Airen is no exception. You see basically the same attempted rape scene throughout and only once is it accomplished. The story could have been shorter since many of the trials these lovers face are the same all along the story. I was hoping for a great Godfather-esque mass murdering ending but alas, I was disappointed. The end was somewhat anti-climactic and for me a bit unsatisfying.
My review seems more like a complaint even though I gave it an 8. I really did like the general story and enjoyed reading it.
Though I don't think I'll ever understand concepts like the girl who almost gets raped goes and has sex with her lover right after, or, the girl who gets raped loves her rapist after, or, so many other things that seem to plague this genre.
P.S. my favorite character is Fuuron! There is even an extra short on his meeting Hakuron.

Okay, so I'm pretty new to this genre and find that rating these manga is a bit difficult since I'm not so familiar with them. Many other reviews that I've read have given me some help in pointing out things like certain standards and generalizations which have helped me, a little. That being said please understand the the rating I gave is an inexperienced 5 and this series has somehow managed an average of 7 point something.
Much of this series is guy helps girl, they fall in "love"
This is a series of one shots that are not connected to each other. I
...
like he first of the series the best, Sheherazade. Although, I did get confused for a minute due to the redundancy of the 3 o'clock deadline for the secretary. Sometimes I couldn't tell if it was going in a forward timeline or a day dream. I thought the story and character development fit the idea of a one-shot more so than the others.
I was pleasantly surprised by the sex scenes but I think that not censoring them, I don't really know how to explain it-I'm not talking very graphic hentai like sex scenes or blurs or bars, but I think a little more detail would have contributed to making the scene more hot.
The guys are good looking but look like similar in some of the stories. Not that I'm complaining about that really.
There were some amusing scenes and good ideas and plots, but I would have given it a higher rating if some of the stories were longer stories, expanded on either with background information or more time to develop the characters and make it feel like it is a thorough and complete one shot rather than the middle of a story.

This is basically a brief rundown of everything from Naruto and Sasuke meeting up to where Sassuke goes off with Orochimaru, Akatsuki and Sai enters the picture. It does mention a possible connection between Sasuke and Itachi but that's about it. The setting is a high school in a modern time. So the story is modified slightly to suit the time but it's basically like an update summary. Very cute and very funny. Unfortunately it is quite short. I'd recommend watching it if only to see a transvestite version of Orochimaru.
