As someone who didn't read the manga I really enjoyed watching the anime. I loved the art, the humor, the fights and that the brothers didn't end up killing each other.
Sure, the story isn't the most innovative one but it's still fine. Unfortunately the show wasn't spared from a rushed ending. I get the point of adding obstacles and plot twists to keep up the tension but why do that in the last 2 episodes? Like give me some time to process what's happening....
Anyway, give it a shot if you haven't seen/read it yet.

While I liked the first season, I was quite disappointed at the events unfolding in season 2. The story has gaps and lacks of explanation. For a season that only has 12 episodes it's quite late to tell the audience what's going on at episode 5. A lot of stuff doesn't make sense at all.
Also I've never seen an anime before, where pressing the reset button was a good idea and black butler is no exception. The first half of the sesason was just boring. Only at the second half the story becomes more interesting but to be honest I was expecting something different. ...

While I loved the first season, the second season was quite disappointing in comparison. You won't miss anything if you leave out this one. It's not completely bad, but I wish they'd put some more thought into the story.
Story: After the events of season one, a new enemy appears out of the blue. The main story suddenly stopps completely and it's like we're about to enter a side quest. This could've been THE event where the heroes finally try to work together, but everyone else besides our MC said "nah, not my cup of tea". When watching an isekai style anime I don't expect much, since there's so much trash out there. Despite the odds this one kept me in front of the screen. Long story short: I liked it and I would recommend it.
Story: The story itself is not super innovative. It follows the typical anti hero pattern, where the MC is not welcome in his new world. Back in 2010 this was like THE SHIT for every BL fan but tbh there is better stuff out now and it's just not worth watching this show anymore.
Storywise everything is quite superficial: "unknown guy rizzed up high school student". In total there are 3 stories of 3 different couples with similar patterns. The characters have plain, doll like personalities. While it was cute to watch when I was 16, I don't feel a lot of emotion for these characters anymore. The artstyle is peculiar. This show was waaaay too short but I fuckin' loved it! <3 If you are into BL, you like vampire stories and you're desperate for some hot and spicy content, you shouldn't miss out this one.
Overall the story and it's plot are kept quite simple. Due to the limit of 5-10 minues per episode there is not a lot of room for super innovative ideas. Why it's still worth watching it? + You can't say bad stuff about the art style. It's decent. + Especially the spicy scenes were well animated and voiced.
