God why did I continue this anime. This anime pretty much exposes SAO's flaws that it had in season 1 by putting 2 story arcs in 1 season. Putting more than 1 story arc is fine as long as it is well paced, however for some reason ever since the first season of SAO, SAO's pacing is horrible and is pretty much speeding up a YouTube video to 2x speed. Now put that in 2 story arcs and there now you have 2 story arcs that have terrible pacing.

Another problem with the anime is how there is no quality put in these story arcs ... and are pretty much just put for filler at this point.

The last problem I have is how you have an OP character, sure Kirito was OP in the Aincrad arc due to him having more experience in the game than other people, but as we seen before in the Alfhiem arc, put Kirito in any game and boom he instantly becomes OP makes zero sense.

Conclusion, terrible anime and pretty much highlights the flaws plaguing SAO don't watch this anime if you are trying to enjoy your time.

After finishing this anime I would say that this anime is both good and bad at the same time. It it has a great idea, but poorly executed.

REASON FOR RATING

From ep 1-14 I would've rated this a 8, however after ep 14 it went downhill and the story wasn't that engaging. Another reason why I rated this anime a 7 is because I feel like this anime was very rushed in the pacing of the story because in ep 2 or 3 it just jumps straight after 2 months to like the 20th or 30th floor this just shows how rushed the pacing of the ... story is.

OVERVIEW OF THE ANIME

This anime is your regular isekai where the mc is op straight from the start, nothing really special just your generic isekai, but there is something that captivated me into watching all of it, which was the idea of the anime. Usually, isekai anime involve the MC dying, but this isekai does not involve the mc dying and the mc is instead sent to another world when the mc unknowingly launched a game that he cannot log out of. This is the reason why I kept on watching it till the end. Moving on, I love the opening because it shows lot of emotion and surprisingly the anime has some tragedy in it, which really suits the opening for the first 14 episodes. However, after the first 14 episodes I kinda lost interest in the anime and this is where some of the flaws start to show. First the mc gets op very quick after the 14 ep when he plays the new game (ALfheim) that he heard that Asuna was seen in. Sure the mc is op in the first 14 ep, but heres the thing he had experience in the previous game (SAO) and knew the best ways of leveling due to him being the lucky few being able to play the beta version of the game, not only that but the time skip to 2 months is reasonable since you are literally playing a game for 2 months straight 24/7, however what sets the other eps apart is that he did not have experience at all in the new game (Alfheim), but just beat the strongest people in just a matter of a few days. Not only does the mc get really strong in a matter of a few days in the new game (ALfhiem) there are just some weird and unexplained things that happen in the anime, an example of this is when the dead dev character of SAO came out of no where without some sort of solid explanation. This is the reason why I lost interest after ep 14.
