The late 1800s, chosen vessels, exorcism and time-transcending love, D.Gray-man and Donten ni Warau share many same themes and feel very similar despite one being shounen and the other shoujo. Both manga have action and dark themes but also bits and pieces of hilarious humor here and there to lighten the atmosphere. Also, the art styles are somewhat similar; both manga are created by very talented women.

Directed by the same man, Gatchaman Crowds and Tsuritama look and sound very much alike. Although these series are not so similar in terms of genre, they share very similar happy and carefree atmosphere. The character designs are simple yet sweet and the color palettes are so wide that even rainbows fall second. Both series also have aliens relevant to the story.

These two one-episode-only OVAs are very similar both in terms of art style, characters and story. They deal with themes like love and loneliness and share the same heart-warming feel, but at the same time they can get you on the verge of tears. They're very unique, so if you liked one of them you will enjoy the other one, too.

Art in both OVAs is similar. They also share the same feeling and in both a cell phone plays an importand role. Only difference is that Kono Danshi, Uchuujin to Tatakaemasu is labeled as (very light) shounen ai and Voices of a Distand Star is normal romance.

Both are cute shounen-ai mangas that take place in school. And the art in both is pretty and somehow similar to each other. They share pretty much the same atmosphere, too.
