With Trigger studios new anime ninja slayer been released in a few weeks I thought I would do a review on a previous anime form the studio.
Now kill la kill is a bit like marmite with people you either love it or hate it. I am one of the people that happen to love it.

first let's get a brief overview of the anime. It is about this alternative society where the high school of the city in question rules over everything. our main heroine comes to this city to get revenge for her fathers death looking for answers, from there it gets crazy ... with transforming uniforms that can talk and alien life forms you would not expect; it's over the top epic.

There were so many things that I liked about this anime, I personally loved the unique art style that I was presented with it is something that I had never seen before and although it is said some animation corners were cut due to budgets I think it added to the uniqueness of the art style.

the characters were also very fresh and hilarious making me forget that the anime is ecchi and although it has a lot of ecchi it's not that type that is for fan service the anime is genuinely serious which makes it type of ecchi that's not painful to watch.

the highlight of the anime for me however has to be the soundtrack never before have I heard such appropriate music that is great to listen to. if anything else just watch this to listen to the music it's that good in my opinion. Even though the story is in some parts a little wacky it all comes together in the end to give us a great.

Trigger is a relatively new studio but their first full anime is one of my favourites and was well done and I am very looking forward to their next project which I fully intend to watch.

i watched this anime because it was at the point in my anime watching where I really enjoyed the supernatural genre; for some reason I was suggested this.

I don't want to negatively comment on it but the pretence was very misinforming. I thought this was going to be action packed demon brawls (although it does have it's moments), however what I got was a lot of over tones of the shounen ai which I did not sign up for when I started watching it.

some characters do have their good points with a lot of them looking very effeminate and not like men at ... all. I felt like the characters were a bit one dimensional as well as they only seemed to repeat the same thing every episode.

the story progressed at a weird pace with stupid episodes most of the way through and a final rushed conclusion.

check it out for yourself although it is not one I would watch again myself I think it's ok the first time around.

by the way it's genre may not say it's not shounen ai but just watch it you will see the undertones.

I first started reading this manga because I saw a recommendation that said it had a similar concept to the manga parasyte (One of my all time favourite manga's to date).

I don't think this manga is bad, it has good artwork and a good enough concept. but i'm sorry to say it was not up to my expectations; this manga in my opinion did not have the slightest thing in common with parasyte so if your looking at this thinking that it will be something similar don't read it.

But like I said it's an OK read the story was a little confusing however ... (in my mind it did not make a lot of sense, and I felt that the ending was quite simply rushed and made no sense to what the rest of the story was talking about.

I may sound that i'm giving this a bunch of negatives comments but it was a manga that was still enjoyable for me and is great for it's short length.

Now I think this anime is fairly unknown to people- but that is part of the reason i'm writing this to raise it's profile even by just a little.

I won't reveal any spoilers but it is one of the most heart-warming and tear jerking romances I have seen in a long time. And to be honest i'm surprised I enjoyed it as much I did because romance animes aren't really my favourites.

Anyway the story focuses on the relationship between a flower shop owner and her new part-time employee that has been admiring her from afar. If it was just this I myself would ... be a little disappointed but then they throw in the fact that the owners late husband is haunting her and her admirer is the only one that can see him, the ghost husband tries everything in his power to keep his wife. (I won't reveal anymore as it will reveal to much about the stories major plot points) .

the music and art work are also extremely beautiful and you are just taken away into a new world. I don't really have any negatives about it but some episodes suffered from a lack of pace which did not bring the story forward. Nut it all pays off in the end of the conclusion leaves no questions unanswered and is one of the most romantically moving endings I have ever seen since I have been watching anime.

Trust me you will need tissues at more than one point during the series.

Anyway just please go and check it out it's one of those amazing underappreciated animes that are the best to watch.

this is my first time writing a review for an anime so bear with me.

well I probably should have done my first one on something a bit better but what the hell.

first of all only watch this if you have no other anime to watch; I am seriously glad they were shorts because they wasted to much of my time.

I know I am being a bit harsh here but it had very little story or plot and the characters were just... arghh!! I can't even say how much they irritated me, very one dimensional characters that can only do one thing each.

I ... mean the ending was not even satisfying and the concept and motives of characters are not even explained so you finish every episode thinking WTF did I just watch. I mean one episode just had the Main heroine eating her brother for the whole four minutes (with a bunch of sexual innuendoes for no apparent reason)

I don't know maybe some people out there liked this anime, however I am not one and I don't even suggest you looking at it.

I did expect more going in as I had not read any reviews and was going on description and picture alone-I really wished I had researched it more- I can't believe that it was something that I was excited about watching once.

overall I give my wring of 2/10 at a no watch category.
