Frieren just works.
There are so many reasons it shouldn't work. It's plot and premise just sounds like every other fantasy show yet it works.
The animation isn't too extraordinary but it works.
The soundtrack isn't too special but it works.
The characters don't have a lot of depth but they work.
Everything in this show just works. And it works really well. When I watched the first episode, I wasn't expecting it to be anything special, but the use of the passage of time (which is a recurring theme) is what carries this show, and damn does it sting and hurt.
Time. For us, we don't have a lot ... of it. Most of us only live to 80 years of age. We only have 80 years to make the most of this life. Grow up, get a job, accomplish your dreams, raise a family.
But for Frieren 80 years is nothing. She lives thousands if not tens of thousands of years. 80 years to her is like a couple of months compared to our entire lifetime.
Time is what gives life value. Time is limited. If it weren't, why do anything at all? You could just do something you wanted to do tomorrow, maybe a week from now, maybe a month, heck, I'll do it in a millenia. There's no rush. It is time what makes us want to do things. Because its limited. But what happens when you are the only person in the world who has unlimited time? What do you do? Do you still do that thing you wanted to do? Do you still meet other people? Do you still accomplish your dreams? Do you still raise a family knowing fully well it will all dissapear while you are the only one who remains. If time is nothing to you, is the goal that you acheived really have any value to it? A difference between a billion and 10 billion is 10 times, but the difference between a million and a billion is 1000 times. If you are a billionaire, does money even matter to you at this point? You can buy anything you want, you have near inifinite money. Does the money have any value anymore?
Frieren delves into this life of an Elf mage who lives thousands of years and now that the main goal of her life, the demon king has been defeated, peace has been wrought, what should she do now?
I would recommend everyone to give Frieren a try, it is well worth your time.

Attack On Titan is the gift that keeps on giving. We start off season 1 with barely any other knowledge than the fact that Titans exist. Season 2 reveals there are in fact people that live outside the walls. Season 3 reveals the true nature of the world of Attack On Titan. The reason for the existence of titans, and the existence of the people of Paradis. Throughout the first 3 seasons of the show, every detail is so meticulously designed that if a person were to sit down and connect the dots, they would eventually be able to find out where the story is ... going. But in spite of all those details, we weren't able to decipher at all where this story was going to go. And that is the brilliance of this show. The foreshadowing.

Every piece of information that is given out throughout the first 3 seasons is perfectly crafted and has a reason for it being told to the viewer. Nothing feels rushed, nothing feels unnecessary, and it all flows together in perfect harmony. The reveal in Eren's basement is one of the best plot twists I have ever seen in a piece of media. That single secret which we were so ecstatic to find out ever since the first episode paid off big time. It expanded the world and scope of Attack On Titan in a way that the viewer did not expect at all.

Season 4 is where Attack On Titan is at its biggest stage. Everything matters. All that has been built up for the past 3 seasons is now unleashed and the potential that the basement secret had created for the show is realized. The trio episode "Declaration of War", "War Hammer Titan", and "Assault" is the peak action of this season and shows how the characters have grown and changed after the time skip. The small world that we started with in season 1 where there were only 3 walls and the only hard part about life was to worry about Titans is now a world where Titans are growing ever weaker and it is actually man itself who is its own enemy. The world grew from humanity vs Titans to man vs man.

S4 P2 reveals the existence of the world and the reason for its current state. Why do Titans exist? Where did they come from? Why can only certain people turn into titans? All these questions that the viewer had since the show started are beginning to get answered. The foreshadowing of the first episode to the eightieth episode and what the names of the episodes mean expands the already deep and complex world of Attack On Titan into something that the viewer did not expect yet once again. The final climax of the show is set up shortly after.

S4 P3/ The Final Season is 2 hours 30 minutes of pure ecstasy. The soundtrack and the animation are at their peak for the show and it complements the story in such a way that it could not have been done any other way. It was quite literally perfect. Everything is at stake here. The fans are divided into two. Two philosophies are at stake. These 2 hours and 30 minutes of non-stop action, energy, and everything turned up to 11 is one of the best anime experiences one can hope to experience.

The show is really good. All of you know that already. Now is it one of the best experiences out there? I think that has also been answered quite a lot, and you don't need me to tell you that because the show speaks for itself and I hope it does for the years that follow. New anime will always come out and there's no denying that something even more remarkable will come out in the future. But for now, Attack On Titan has solidified its legacy for the years to come.
