With how much I loved season one, I was so excited for season 2 to start. Please, I'm begging you, do not watch season two. Stop at episode 12 of season one. Season two will ruin the entire experience for you. No matter how much you love season one, don't do it. Just don't. Anyway, on to the review:
STORY:
Basically, they take the entire ending of season one, take everything back, and then proceed to stop all over the plot and tear it apart, piece by piece. It's a mess. I'm honestly so upset with hoe bad this was.
ART:
It's almost like they forgot how to
...
draw their own characters. Inaho looks off the entire time, Asseylum looks like a baby whale when she's sad, Slaine doesn't look nearly as good as he did in season one, I could go on. I loved the art of season one. This was a mess, none of the characters ever looked quite right, and frankly the fight scenes were also boring to watch and were always anticlimactic. Oh, and the second ending song, which plays for episode 11, looks like it's drawn by a two year old
SOUND:
The soundtrack is still amazing. Luckily that didn't change between season one and two. same great songs, and some great new songs. By all means, download the season two songs, but don't watch the show, please.
CHARACTER:
Basically they took all character development and recked it. the first two episodes of the season makes it seem like Inaho is gonna be better in this season. The first two episodes lie to you.
OVERALL:
I absoluetly LOVED season one. To the point where I had it listed as my number one favorite anime, and I was constantly making gifs of it. Second season makes me ashamed to like season one. I vote that we delete this season from existence, pretend episode 12 of season one is where Aldnoah.Zero really ends, and move on from there. on a final note: PLEASE DO NOT WATCH THIS SEASON, EVEN IF IT'S JUST AS A JOKE BECAUSE YOU KNOW HOW BAD IT'S GONNA BE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. IT WILL DISAPPOINT YOU. DO NOT DO IT.

"The Magical Boy Anime." I remember seeing the announcement for this show on my Tumblr dashboard and thinking, "This show is going to be a mess, I want to see how bad this show is." Spoiler alert: it wasn't bad at all, actually pretty great in fact.
STORY:
The story revolves around a very set pattern, every episode the bad guys create a new monster, the Battle Lovers have some sort of conflict within themselves, and they solve it while defeating the monster "with love!" While this may seem like it would get boring after the first couple episodes, I found myself enticed every week. I knew
...
how it was going to end everytime, but even still I found myself wanting to watch. It's cool seeing the weekly monster every episode, especially cause a lot of the monsters had very relatable emotions that made them interesting characters.
ART:
The characters all look great, and the monsters have really cool designs. The battle transformations are also everything you might expect from a "Magical Boy Anime," and I think they are very well done. There is a lot of fan service in this show, but I found myself not minding, even though usually fan service annoys me like crazy.
SOUND:
The soundtrack was pretty good, not amazing or anything, but it definitely never hindered the show. I did absolutely love the theme song.
CHARACTER:
One interesting point about this show, is that there are literally no female characetrs. Ever. Not at all. None even in the background. I think this helps to build the environment and humor a little bit. All the characters are great though, while they may seem very flat at times, and even out of character occasionally, in the end they always pull through, and I think the cast is very lovable.
OVERAL:
If you think "The Magical Boy Anime" sounds like something you'd like, or if something of the sort makes you want to watch it for similar reasons I started with, I would reccomend going for it and watching the show, it is a great show, and I enjoyed my time watching it.

I wasn't sure what to expect starting this show. But am I ever glad I did start this show.
STORY:
First thing's first: if you're looking for a deep story that will make you rethink your life, you've come to the wrong place. However, the story is very cute, and hilarious. I rarely laugh at shows, and with this one I found myself laughing at almost every episode, I thoughly enjoyed this show. And while it may not be the deepest story out there, or even very moving, it does have it's sweet moments that are lovely in their own respect.
Not great plot-wise, but still
...
amazing.
ART:
For the most part the art is great. It's cute and really helps with the humor of the show. There are some scenes where some of the characters have more realistic features, and those moments threw me off, but it's definitely nothing to not watch the show over. Overal the animation is amazingly cute and helps with the humor of the show in amazing ways.
SOUND:
The soundtrack, as one might expect for such a humourus show is very playful and super fun to listen to. While it may not be a soundtrack that you'd listen to outside of the show, it definitely is one that helps with story telling and mood-making and is definitely a big plus for this show. (The theme song has been stuck in my head since I started watching it too, haha)
CHARATER:
This is where the show really shines. While all of the characters may be very very VERY stereotypical, they are also all very loveable, and it's the character interactions that is what makes this show so great. Even characters like Inugami, who I absolutely hated at first, by the end I loved so much simply because, while they may be very flat characters, they are very enjoyable, and will make you laugh.
OVERALL:
This show is a form of pure comedy, and if you're not into comedy, you're probably better off elsewhere. However, that being said, it does what it does VERY well, and if you're ever looking for a good laugh I would HIGHLY recommend this show. It's not a show that does it all, but it does what it does very very well. If you're ever in need of cheering up, or just want a good laugh, Gugure! Kokkuri-san is a show that is very worth your time.

After having countless people tell me to watch Madoka Magica, I finally gave in and watched it. All in all it wasn't bad. Not great, but not bad.
STORY:
The story for me was slow. For most of it to be honest. infact, by the 7th episode I literally yelled at my phone to hurry up and get to the good part already not realizing my roommate was in the room, lol oops. It's not that it wasn't bad up to that point, it's that I felt that we still hadn't even been introduced to the real probelm of the story yet, and in fact we
...
hadn't. The real problem the story deals with doesn't even start until the 10th episode, and from there on out it's great. But that's only 3 episodes that are phenomenal, while the rest left me wanting for the story to get to the big picture already.
ART:
This was one of the things that set me off the most about this show. The animation was choppy at times, the fight scenes weren't exciting at all, and the contrast in art styles wasn't great to say the least. I get that they were trying to be artistic with the choppy scenes and the clash of styles, but it didn't work as much as other animations have for me. And it wasn't a problem of
SOUND:
This was actually my favorite part about Madoka Magica. The Theme song was amazing, the ending was great, and the songs that played throughout every episode actually helped put some excitement into a story that wouldn't start. Soundtrack is amazing.
CHARACTER:
I actually really liked a lot of the characters in this show. Character is definitely a strong point of Madoka Magica. From Homura, Sayaka, Mami, to even Madoka herself, all of the characters had their moments where they really shined through and showed that the writers of this show definitely knew how to write strong characters. Even the side characters are loveable, one of my favorite characters in the show is Madoka's mother, Junko, who gets just enough screen time for you to grow to love her, but without her getting in the way of the main plot.
OVERALL:
Overall I was disappointed with the slow movement of the story, and art style. While the characters and soundtrack were splendid, and it was a good show, it was nothing more than that: a good show at best, with a cute ending. It's nothing to write home about, but if you're interested, worth a watch

Truly a masterpiece of a show. While it may start slow for the first 2 or 3 episodes, once it picked up I could not stop watching, and I watched the entire season in almost one day, and have rewatched it many times as well. While I will avoid spoilers, I must say the the ending has honestly changed the way I veiw ending of shows. It is a powerful ending that will leave you thinking for the next week.
The characters in this show are beautifull written, as the show progresses you can't help but sympathize with Slaine, and I don't know how you
...
could possibly dislike Asseylum. Even the smaller characters like Inko and Calm you can't help but love. Some of my favorite parts of the show are when you get to see into a softer side of Inaho, overall the characters are all around all very great, even Saazbaum has a side of him that you can sympatize with.
The sound track is also something that stands out to me, and something that I have listened to a ton. Whether it's the opening, "Heavenly Blue," or "Keep on Keeping On," the songs are all memorable and amazing. Plus I'm pretty sure anyone who has watched this show has gotten "aLIEz" stuck in their head at some point.
Overall this is a show that I believe everyone should watch, and while I am on the fence about season 2 so far, Season 1 is a must watch.
