"I am the Frozen Witch, born in Elior forest. I won't give in to the malice of a fellow witch"
-Emilia
SPOILERS BELOW
Story:-
With how much of a suffering cour 1 had, cour 2 instead has the feeling of accomplishment and joy. It is like fighting a Dark Souls boss. You die countless times in doing so. You feel sad, disappointed and frustrated. You may even feel like giving up. But the moment you defeat that boss, you get an intense feeling of joy and happiness. You get rewarded for your relentless dedication. This is how you may feel when you watch this anime. With how
...
much suffering Subaru had in cour 1, it is time for Otto to talk some sense into Subaru. Now with Subaru getting back his motivation, he confronts Roswaal and is ready to fix the problems in both the mansion and the sanctuary.
There are also some mysteries that are revealed in this cour. With Emilia being one of the most mysterious character in this series, we finally get to see her backstory. And it has that mix feeling of happiness and sorrow. I really cried watching it so brace yourselves for it. It really gives Emilia a lot of character depth and makes her one of my favorites. We also see some insight into Roswaal's and Betty's backstory. It really gives them a lot of character development too. Also, one of the most enjoyable characters from season 1 is back in this cour. I wouldn't spoil their name. Although, the character is now a little different. Story:- 10/10
Art:-
The art is not too appealing compared to season 1 or the OVAs. But some scenes are nicely done. Art:- 7/10
Sound:-
There are some new OSTs that are beautiful, especially "Door" which was played in second episode. Ram's "insert song" was also great! Overall, the other songs are also decent. Sound:- 9/10
Character:-
This cour really shows a lot of character development especially for Emilia, Subaru, Betty, Roswaal, Ram, Otto and Garfiel. We see how insecure Emilia is when Puck leaves her and considering Emilia's past of being isolated and shunned, she actually breaks down because the only person who loved her is gone. With Emilia being at her lowest point and not being able to complete the trials, we have the "reason to believe" episode. Just like a phoenix, "the witch of frost" (Emilia) rises up again and confronts the "witch of greed" (Echidna), now with confidence that is unshakable. That was a really badass scene.
Otto's backstory was really well done and provided a lot of depth to his character. Garfiel's trial was really emotional and I loved it. His relationship with his mom really brought me to tears. Apart from these three, Subaru and Ram also had their moments to shine. Furthermore, Betty and Roswaal's past was also beautifully done. The relationship between Emilia and Subaru has also developed a lot especially after "reason to believe". Btw I especially loved smol Emilia and the cute Emilia x Subaru dance. Adding to that, the Ram, Puck and Roswaal scene was really badass and awesome. Also, Subaru and Betty scenes were really good! I wouldn't want to spoil it though ;)
Character:- 10/10
Enjoyment:-
I really enjoyed each and every episode. It is filled with sorrow, despair but at the end of it all, it has that rare feeling of accomplishment and joy which makes this anime really enjoyable.
Enjoyment:- 10/10
Overall:-
Just finish part 2. It is gonna be amazing, I promise. EMT!

"When will the suffering end?"
Subaru enjoyed his slice of life time in Isekai Quartet but now his suffering once again starts with Re:Zero season 2.
Story 10/10
Alright, so there are a lot of mysteries that were not at all answered in season 1 and frozen bond OVA like:-
Who is Satella?
What happened to Subaru's life in Japan now that he has disappeared?
...
What were Roswaal's true intentions?
Why were Emilia and other people of Elior forest frozen? And who were the people who we saw in flashbacks in Frozen bond?
Plus many more!
We finally get to know more about Re:Zero world and a little about the other witches. Plus we also get to see a glimpse of Subaru's life before he was isekai'd and also get to meet all the witches.
We also see new archbishops in action though only for a while. Elsa is finally back and is ordered by someone to kill people in the mansion.
Subaru has completed his first trial but unfortunately Emilia is too traumatized due to the first trial and is not able to pass it even after trying many times. But unlike Subaru whose trial was shown to the viewer, Emilia's trial is kept a secret for now.
Puck hasn't come out since Emilia entered the sanctuary and considering how Emilia is traumatized due to Roswaal's plan plus the rabbits attacking the sanctuary, Subaru tries to complete all trials instead.
But only failure awaits him in his second trial. So with the sanctuary sealed off and the rabbits about to attack at the same time when Elsa attacks the mansion, Subaru is in a tight spot now. Who to save?
Art 8/10
It could have been better but due to the pandemic, I guess it is to be expected. The art is more or less just like season 1.
Though some scenes were beautifully animated like Emilia and Subaru sitting outside on a starry sky.
Sound 9/10
The OP is a banger and ending song is decent. Some OSTs from season 1 are also used. New OSTs are also present and they are decent.
Character 8/10
Really loved Satella's dialogue when she confronted Subaru after he was traumatized due to his second trial. It was really emotional.
Otto gets good development this season and his interaction with Subaru are good. Ram also gets a lot of screentime and helps Subaru.
Garfiel seems like a mysterious character who feels like a friend in one loop and foe in another loop. Echidna at first seems kind and cute but her true intentions are revealed on how she tried to manipulate Subaru but thanks to Minerva her plan was foiled
Emilia is funny and cute as always. Plus she and Subaru have gotten quite close after season 1.
And after witnessing Subaru's first trial, we find out about his insecurities, his life and his relationship with his parents before he was isekai'd. And as of now due to all the stuff happening this season, his suffering has gotten more intense.
It was also good to see Subaru supporting Emilia after the trials and providing her emotional support. Emilia seems to have gotten quite
fond of Subaru now and even got embarrassed. I love their interactions. Their relationship is very cute.
Roswaal's character has always been mysterious but here we get to know how he knew of Subaru's ability to return and follows the plans that his gospel lays out. We also get to see Roswaal's true intentions and how he planned out many events in the story
Enjoyment 10/10
Waited 4 years for this! I really enjoyed each episode. Can't wait for the second cour
Overall 10/10
A lot of suffering this season for many characters. Really want to see how this mess will be sorted out.

Emilia-tan Maji Tenshi
-Natsuki Subaru (2016)
Story 10/10
The OVA shows Emilia's past with Puck. It showed how Emilia was treated by villagers and how SHE treated them in return. It also showed her daily life, how she earned her livelihood before she was selected as a candidate for Lugunica's queen, her relationship with Puck, her first meeting with Puck, a little about Elior forest (her home), her powers, etc. There are also some decent (but short) fighting scenes involving Emilia and Puck plus some badass Emilia scenes in which she gets really angry. And after the credits, we have a lovely Emilia and Subaru interaction to lighten
...
up the mood.
Btw this OVA only gave a glimpse of her past. There were still many unanswered questions (like frozen statues of people and how Emilia was frozen herself) and unnamed foes who are yet to appear and will hopefully be covered in season 2. We also get to see a little glimpse of season 2; that is, a little tease on Petelgeuse's backstory, an unknown voice at the start and Emilia's relatives.
Art 10/10
The art was just as good (if not better) as in season 1 so nothing to complain about.
Sound 10/10
Loved the OST. They really amplified the emotions in certain scenes. And the credit song was lovely
Character 10/10
I'll just be straightforward. Emilia is beyond selfless. If anything, Subaru wasn't wrong when he called her EMT (angel), EMF (fairy) or EMM (goddess). We already know from season 1 how most people in Lugunica hated her because she looked like witch of envy. Here we get to see Emilia's willingness to become friends with the villagers but sadly they treat her like a disease (so she hid her face mostly). They ran away whenever she went to the village and called her a witch except one old man who treated her kindly. Unfortunately, the villagers and even the kind old man betrayed her by confessing her location to some slave traders. But even so, she still cared more about those villagers than herself and tried to keep them safe disregarding her own safety. Even after she saved a family from monsters, they still insulted her and were scared of her instead of showing gratitude.
Puck's relationship with Emilia was also highlighted here. His caring attitude towards her and willingness to protect her from any sort of harm (like a spirit named Melakuera who considered Emilia a threat due to her likeness to witch of envy) was admirable. We also get to see Puck's original form in this OVA which was not shown completely in season 1.
Enjoyment 10/10
Really enjoyed this OVA. Can't wait for season 2 tbh. I am really excited!
Overall 10/10
What else is there to say? Give it a watch! It's really good and quite emotional! I couldn't stop myself from crying.
EMT!

Story:-
No depression, no dying and respawning countless times for our boi Subaru this time. This is a wholesome episode that does not contain any pain or suffering for Subaru. The story is all about Subaru and everyone else getting through two days of harsh cold which is due to Puck's mana side effects which Puck can't do anything about. The story is decent. Contains comedy and a little bit of romance.
Art:-
The art is really good. It's as good as season 1 if not better. The last few scenes looked even better.
Sound:-
The OST used were pretty great. This brings back the memories of the first season
...
and the mysteries surrounding this alternate world. Really makes me hyped for the second season.
Character:-
Got to see Emilia's cheerful sides and a little bit comedy of Rem/Ram. We get to see Subaru trying to impress Emilia, Ram always bashing Subaru and Rem agreeing to whatever Subaru thinks of. Emilia was really cute this episode. She tried to hide her problems by talking really fast so Subaru doesn't get suspicious which was really funny and wholesome. Her expressions and interactions were also really wholesome. We even get to see Emilia and Rem drunk acting all cute in front of Subaru
Then we get to see Beatrice who as usual acted all tsundere, but we also hear just a glimpse of her past which makes me impatient for a season 2 even more. I really need to know about Beatrice's past now. We also get to see Puck, Roswaal, Petra, etc acting like their usual self which was good to see.
Enjoyment:-
Really enjoyed this episode. It was away from all the depression that Re:Zero possesses and was quite lovely. I didn't even notice when the episode ended even though it was 1 hour long.
Overall:-
If you are a Re:Zero fan, then I really recommend you to watch it. You will love it! After all, we get to see Re:Zero characters once again in their usual environment after 3 years. This is a VICTORY! :D
Oh btw, EMT! :)

TeamEmilia clearly won in Re:Zero episode 25.
Well, guess what?
TeamEmilia wins again!
There's no Rem. We get to see only Emilia and Subaru talking to each other and eating cup noodles. Therefore, if you are TeamEmilia then you'll clearly enjoy watching this 'cause you get to see Emilia's cute expressions once again after 2 years. I mean that alone is enough for me to enjoy this. The art is nothing special though. I personally enjoyed this 'cause I at least got to see more of Emilia. The best girl obviously wins in the end. As Emilia, Puck and Subaru said:-
VICTORY!
VICTORY!
VICTORY!
Btw the second episode is about Rem and
...
Ram eating cup noodles.
Still, EMT all the way!
