Both seem very similar at the surface, with 7-8 color-coded idol boys working their way to the top, with both main groups having a well respected rival in the industry with bandmates who don't (at least at first) get along If you liked utapri, you will like idolish7. It has similar characters but gives them a lot more depth and has more engaging plotlines. If you liked idolish7, you may like utapri, especially if the main draw for you is bishounen idols and good music

Made by the same author and both are some of the funniest mangas I've ever read They both have this romantic comedy vibe to them while being at the same time fairly far from actual romance stories both are some of the best mangas I've ever read

They have a similar humor to them fast paced with a lot of jokes as well as a lot of "will they won't they" romantic moments that much more often than not end up being "they won't" Protagonist in both is a girl with a crush on her closest friend If you like Tomo chan you will definitely like Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki kun (which is also an anime)

Both reverse harems with very likable female protagonists. Supporting casts both full of endearing boys. Both are hilarious. Both have the main cast helping other people they meet regularly. The chapter where Mafuyu and Saeki help out that girl who lives in the mansion really reminded me of ouran because they end up helping her out with her love troubles, in a very ouran fashion.
