I had fun. This is a very cute and wholesome monster-of-the-week type of mystery series with some a+ parenting, some abysmal parenting, and some atrocious examples of abuse and gory horror.
I really enjoyed that kids are allowed to be kids, and they have a guardian who is actually committed to guiding and protecting them rather than to making them into efficient and skilled warriors. More so, that goal is not even on the to-do list, it is more like a side-effect to supportive parenting.
