Bruh I don't even have to say anything that the other reviews haven't said already.

This is a stupid show with a pedophile as a mc that doesn't hide or feel disgust by his grooming attempts, if anything the actions of the mc are encouraged (He is just 10 haha). Considering he was in actuality over 30 years old before he died makes it even worse. Canononically his mental age is over 40 years and he still tries to groom little girls. WTF how is this suppossed to be acceptable. WHY IS EVERYONE FINE WITH THIS IMMORAL AND QUITE FRANKLY ILLEGAL NONSENSE.

Fuck it the anime ... community is perfect, hating on shows like goblin slayer for having scenes of sexual violence (r#pe )but encouraing animes that normalize pedophillia. If you can really relate to that abomination of a main character you might want to find some professional help.
Becaus guess what that sort of stuff is not ONLY immoral but ILLEGAL too.

Kaguya sama Love is war is the perfect example of a manga that starts good, but becomes incredibly bland later on.

So let me start with the things that made this series good.

Characters:

The main cast was likable and although they seemed to be particulary dense at certain moments ( they are supposed to be elite students lol) I blame romantic comedy sterotypes on that one.
Especially Ishigami has been a very relatable supporting character, who had a great redemption arc later on in the manga.
The other characters were fine, although I didnt like them quite as much as Ishigami. With have of them being occassional fanservice ... devices (RIP Fujiwara).


Story:

After a certain couple confesses to each other the manga just becomes more and more riduculous, yes even more than before. Teenagers being able to beat Yakuzas. Uninteresting plot points (like who cares about a feud in the Shinomiya family in a darn romance manga, the evila partiach lmao).The thing is ofc it was always supposed to make no sense at times (afterall its a romcom). The problem that arises is that the story tries to take its subject matter way to fking seriously.

Oh no Hayasaka has been snitching infos for kaguyas brother all along , but she doesnt't want to betray Kaguya no more, now she can stop being her servant and start being a real friend. As if, this story has to overly stretch out and overdramatise that plot point for no reason whatsoever. And worse of all in the most stupid and illogical way. Her older brother is portrayed as someone dangerous with a lot more influence than someone like Kaguya can ever can hope to achieve. A guy that hates traitors and thus goes after Hayasaka (a child lmao). They can't possibly hope to reason with him easily. An ingenious plan and much persuasion is surely needed.
Guess what, she just slaps him and her brother is talk no jutsued into stopping just like that. And apparently he just lets himself be assaulted by his little sister without her facing any reperscussion. This scene was so incredibly useless you could have just skipped it and missed out on nothing. A trajectory that the series seems alas to be permanently adapting.

Manga was enjoyable otherwise thats why I will give it a 5, read it if you don't want to use your brain in some scenes so you don't get overly triggered by the absurd stupidity and redundance.

To be honest that light novel is pretty bad and very overrated.

The main character is basically a self-insert with a pseudo tragic backstory.

And what is that stupid bullshit about going to a high-class school just so you intentionally score low so you don't to stand out.
It defeats the purpose of going to a renown school in the first place.
MC is just a straight up edge lord that for some reason thinks people are tools, but not because he really is fucked in the head, NO, because he is badly written and his motivation makes no sense in the slightest.

Characters overall have no depth ... and are just plain bland. I don't want to write about them, I've alreay forgotten their names.

And I hate to break it to you, but this novel is complete and utter generic high-school self-insert garbage.

This review wasn't even worth my time.
