Somewhat similar in terms of narrative style and plot. In both series the emphasis is on characters and Somewhat similar in terms of plot (politics, conspiracy to overthrow/build a new government) and their emphasis on characters and dialogue. The diegetic worlds of both series are well defined (based on real life but with fantasy/mythological elements added in case of Japan Tengu Party and alternate history developments in National Quiz). Art in both series is distinct and original, with Tengu Party being more on the artsy side. On overall if you enjoyed one I am quite sure that you should like the other. And if you don't know neither, in my opinion they should satisfy the more discerning readers.
