I thought this was pretty middling and just okay, as the plot didn't do anything noteworthy. The characters and animation dont stick out as much, and if you are like me and are a dub watcher, the dub wasn't super noteworthy, though I did like Ellin and Lotte a lot voice acting wise and thought the antagonist towards the end was pretty interesting.
However, the last 4 episodes where they introduced the black plague were pretty damn good. It felt like it was getting really good as it ended.

One of my favorites. Stumbled on it by chance and honestly such a good find.
The story is very original, towards the beginning I can't say it was TOO story heavy but Myf definitely got more gripping and serious, especially around the Train arc (?? dunno if there's a genuine name.) it's a good balance of funny and more tight chapters. Art, while nothing incredibly noteworthy, I still think it's pretty good. I really enjoy the art style and some of the art for the more dramatic scenes was gorgeous. Characters are an absolute 10/10. I recently finished this (all seasons, plan to read the manga + watch dead apple), and this is without a doubt going into my favorites. The story is very... intelligent? You can tell lots of thought and heart was woven into it. The theme of the characters being based off of authors was very creative. The art/animation was a sight to behold. The art style didn't stick out much from other anime but the fight scenes were something else. For the sound rating, honestly any sound effects weren't really anything ... |
