I really don't understand how UchiMusume is rated in the high 7 at the time of writing this review. The only reason I can think of is that Latina is cute, and that's really all this show is about.
Story: 5/10
Latina's background is given a slight chance to be interesting but is rarely brought up. Latina and her parents were outcast from their demon country, one of many but the only without a ruler for the time being. that's about as far as that plot goes other than foreshadowing. We're supposed to believe Dale was a cold-blooded demon killer up to the point he met
...
Latina which turned him into a doting father figure overnight. I get it, she's cute. I was at least interested to the point I wanted to know what happened beyond the show so I looked at spoilers for the LN. I wouldn't do that if I were you.
Art: 3/10
UchiMusume is the ugliest show I've seen this season. From the bland backgrounds to side characters everything just looks lazily done. Latina is the only focus of the show so that you weebs will buy figures and other merch. The bar patrons, which are in nearly every episode so should look better than random villager in the background, I'm almost sure are taken out of my high school notebook. And I can't draw.
Sound: 4/10
Honestly, the music wasn't that memorable. I skipped the OP almost every episode. I can't even remember the background music. I will give credit to the ED, however. That shit's a banger, shout-out to my boy Nobuhiko Okamoto.
Cute girls are one of my favorite things about anime. But 10 years into this hobby I've learned that I need more substance then just that. And this show only had one! We have limited precious time on this planet and I wouldn't waste it watching this.
