Densetsu no Yuusha Da Garn Is one of 8 Yuusha series and this series is the 3rd entry. I first entered the Yuusha Franchise by the popular series called GaoGaiGar and Yuusha Da Garn is the second series I watched. So far the Yuusha Series did not disappoint and were very enjoyable.
The plot is about a young boy named Seiji who is choosen to be the leader and commander of the earth guardians (who in this case are super powered robots) to protect the world from Orbus a space pirate who destroys planets by stealing the planet energy.
Story: The plot is episodic at first but
...
then it has an overall story that keeps developing. These Yuusha series are aimed at kids and the same goes with Da garn but it has its dark moments also. I believe the theme of the story for Da Garn was to protect the earth and to keep it clean, instead of destroying it like with pollution. The villains are memorable and are not as easy to figure out. The commander Seiji is faced with tough decisions on a constant basis and then has to face consequences of those decisions later on. The battles are not at an epic level as with GaoGaiGar but Da Garn has other stuff going for it that makes up for it.
The animation is done by sunrise, I think the anime looks like a mixture of Gundam and Transformers. I really enjoyed the Character Designs but I wasn't a big fan of the Robots designs except maybe one of them. Some of the background scenery was nice because the show would go to different parts of the world.
Sound: I loved the opening song it is very catchy, I can't say the same for the ending song which I thought was annoying but some people might like it. The Seiyuus were impressive two of my favorites were playing two Rival Robots one being Da Garn and the other seven changer. The seiyuu for Seiji did a great job as well really added good humor to the part. The ending for the last episode is the opening of the anime sung by the cast which I really enjoyed and thought was a nice touch.
The characters are easily the best part of the show, you have the young MC Seiji who is mature and immature at the same time. He is on his own alot because of his parents busy work style life so he knows how to take care of himself, he also gets in alot of mischief but is looked out for by his childhood friend Hikaru who is always on her toes to keep him out of trouble. No one knows about Seiji's true identity of being a commander until way later so when he trys to hide this it has some very humorous moments. Seiji is also a very sarcastic and a funny guy he makes for a good mc. Alot of good supporting characters are in the series one that comes to mind is the neighbor hood police officer who has some very funny moments because his police car is the main robot Da Garn of the series. The villains are another great part of the show because they come at you from different places and have different motives, some even have a change of heart. My favorite villain being Redlone who is a pure villain till the end. The downside I would say is that there are alot of robots but Da Garn and seven changer, are the only ones we really get to know, but the other robots do constantly show loyalty to the commander.
I really enjoyed this Yuusha series mostly for the characters and there interactions, It surprisingly made me laugh alot of times which I thought I might not since it was aimed at kids but the humor can be enjoyed by anyone. If your into super robot animes then you should check this out it will not disappoint and I hope the next Yuusha series I watch is just as good!

Every year there is a Lupin special that is over an hour. In 2012 it was Another Page. I look forward to these specials because Lupin and his gang are some of my favorite characters.
Story: The story is about Lupin looking for Marco Polos hidden treasure and then being suspected for murder. While Lupin and Jigen are dealing with that Fujiko is working with the enemy (should not be a suprise). Goemon is trying find him self in the mountains somewhere and encounters a strange family. The story is actually not bad for a Lupin special it just could have been executed better. It
...
is enough to hook you and enjoy some Comedy moments with Lupin and the gang.
Art: I gave the art a very low score because it seemed very low budget. The animation looked older and character designs looked simple. The action scenes looked very childish cartoon. Overall the animation is the worst part of the special.
Sound: The sound was simple and songs used for the soundtrack were from previous Lupin series and specials, but I actually like that because those songs were some of my favorites from the shows. The Voice Acting was solid and the new VA for Fujiko is dead on for the part and she is young so she'll be there for a while. The New VA for Goemon does a solid job but I think I need to still hear him a little bit more from him before I make a conclusion on him. The VA for Zenigata is good and seems to be really grasping the character. The VA for Lupin does a decent job again. Jigen's VA Is sounding a lot different from the past and it is very impressive how long he has voice acted Jigen at a high level. I think it is time to replace Jigen's VA and Lupin's VA with younger blood. Truthfully I want to hear someone new Voice Lupin beacuse I feel like there is something missing ever since Yamada(lupin's first VA) past away.
Characters: The characters always seem to be the high point of these specials and that is the case again. Lupin greatest thief ever has some great tricks and funny moments in this special and a great one liner. Jigen the greatest marksmen shows skills again and has some funny moments. Goemon the greatest swordsmen shows his skills only when he needs to, he was holding back on this special. He has some very funny moments with the strange family. Fujiko is her usual self, by betraying and using Lupin, but she does not have much screen time in this special. Zenigata is his funny self and also shows martial art skills.
Enjoyment: If your a Lupin fan and know of the franchise, you will the enjoy some laughs with Lupin and also some of his great tricks and skills. If your new to the Lupin franchise then you might want to trying something else to get into the franchise. As a standalone you can skip this and find something better to watch. This a decent watch for any Lupin fan

Kyou kara Ore wa!! Is another delinquent anime, but a real good one. I am a sucker for anime about delinquents for example Yu Yu Hakusho , GTO, Shonan Junai Gumi(the prequel to GTO), and Tenjou Tenge. Kyou kara Ore wa is closer to the likes of Shonan Junai Gumi and the beginning of Yu Yu hakusho. This Ova though holds its own against all those anime mentioned earlier which is not easy to do. Anyways onto the review;
Story: The story does not have an overall plot or big arc story-line that it follows, it is more like an episodic anime. The anime starts
...
with the two main characters entering a new school but want to change their image to bad-boys or delinquents . The kick is they never met each other until recently and they don't really get along at first. Even though the anime might be episodic it does not feel like your normal episodic anime because they have so much going on every episode, that your wondering how did they end up from point A the beginning of the episode to point G at the end of the episode. The two main characters get themselves in some ridiculous situations which are hilarious. The story also has really good humor, it is clean, fun and does not rely on toilet jokes or gross stuff. The slapstick humor part is done right and not overplayed. First episode felt like a movie ( it was an hour long) because of all of the things going on and your glued to your seat to see what happens next. Even with all the humor it also has some great fight scenes and some serious moments also.It Also has a little bit of romance.
Animation: Since it is an ova the animation has better quality than if it would have been a regular TV series. I really enjoyed the fight scenes which were done really nice. It does have that 90's animation that I enjoy. Studio Pierrot did the animation they also did the animation for GTO so both anime have similar animation and character designs. The two main characters designs almost made me not want to watch the anime especially Itou's design mostly the hair due which Ill talk about later. It wasn't that the designs were bad it just made them look goofy and hard to take them serious but I believe that's what the original author had in mind.
Sound: Probably the weakest part of the anime only due to the fact they did not have an opening song and the ending theme song I didn't really like. Other than that though the background music in scenes matched up perfectly to what was happening during the anime. The Voice Actors were top notch and they really added to the humor of the show.
Characters: I certainly believe that good character development is what makes a decent anime turn into a great anime. This is the case with Kyou kara Ore wa, it has great characters and they are developed well through. The first episode does a great job developing the main characters and it even starts developing secondary characters for later on. The main character Mitsuhashi, Takashi wants to be have a bad boy image at his new school so he gets his hair permed and dyed to blonde. He is most known for his dirty fighting techniques but is also very strong. The other MC is Itou, Shinji he also wants a bad boy image before he goes to his new school so he gets his hair spiked to ridiculous lengths. Before watching the anime I thought Itou looked really lame because of the hair but after the watching the first episode he becomes my favorite character(don't judge a book by its cover lol). Itou does not fight dirty he fights straight forward and fair and is also very strong, but fighting fair can get him in trouble sometimes. Even though Itou is my favorite character I relate more to Mitsuhashi because he fights dirty and I also use to fight dirty in middle school and high school that's probably one of the reasons I really liked this anime. There is also a really good supporting cast but I am only going to talk about a certain supporting member his name is Imai and this guy is bat shit crazy and funny. Imai is from a different school than the Main Characters and Imai is the best fighter that school has. Imai is really strong and good looking but also really stupid and sometimes you think the only person that can beat him up is himself. Imai gets himself in some weird and hilarious situations usually due to the MCS themselves.
Enjoyment: You know how some people say you have wait for a certain anime to get good for example "just wait till episode 5 that's when it really picks up" this ova is not like that from episode 1 you are hooked and wanting more. This series could of gone 100 episodes and I would have watched every episode, which they could have done since the manga is 30 something volumes. All ten episodes of this ova stay fresh and exciting which is rare for an anime to do.
I am definitely going to pick up the manga after this and I suggest the few that are reading this to pick up Kyou kara Ore wa!! Ova. You wont regret it, because its one of the funniest anime I have watched.

08th MS Team is one of the best anime I have ever seen and definitely the best Gundam anime I have watched. That is why I wanted to watch Miller's Report to see if I can get some more from this anime that ended to soon. I was hoping for a side story, but unfortunately it did not live up to the anime and was just a recap episode that dumbs down some of the best scenes from the anime.
Story: There is really no story to this. Miller's is a earth fed that has to write a report on Shiro Amada
...
if in fact he is a double agent for Zeon. So basically all they do is recap what has happened in the anime so far that has led up to this point. They had some extra footage with most of the characters with great dialogue but it was short. I was hoping for more of this, like stuff that was going on during the base when Shiro was under house arrest since they were vague in the anime, but nope we get 40 to 45 min of recaps from the anime.
I am not going to write about sound and animation because it is similar to the anime since most of the recap footage is from the anime it self.
Character:The new character introduced is Alice Miller a earth fed internal in fairs kind of person and she is pretty tough on Shiro because of her job and also a personal reason. All the main cast makes small appearance in the extra footage except for mabey Kiki but definitely everybody is in the recaps.
Enjoyment. My enjoyment was killed by the recaps first of all they took up most of the time on the film and second the recaps were taking away from the series because these episodes they tried to recap were some of the most beautiful and entertaining episodes in anime. I don;t believe those great scenes should be watched in a recap and if you want to see them you should just watch the series again like I have. It is way more enjoyable just to watch the series again than this movies recap.
Overall: I don't recommend watching this unless you want to see that 5 to 10 min extra footage with your favorite characters from the 08th Ms Team. This movie could have been much better if they eliminated the recaps and just added some dialogue for the characters and thrown in some fights just for fun. 6/10

Domain of Murder is a simple old school detective story, and it was pretty fun to watch. Its just a single episode based on a random case from the manga it was adapted from.
story: The story is about a private detective working for a firm taking on a case to find a disturbed killer. This story about the killer has a twist I have never seen in an anime before or anything else in matter of fact. It makes you think would we have done the same thing if we were in his shoes or what would we have done different. it might have not
...
been the right thing to do but was it really wrong?.Is it fair for us to judge him on the decision he made. It will make you question your moral values and makes you think what did the victim feel when the killer had to make the tough decision. I know I am very vague about the twist behind the killer but I cannot ruin the little the story has(for the few that decide to watch it because of this review), since it is only 51 minutes. 8/10
Animation: The animation has the old school feel. It kind of feels low budget but the animation is clean. It being low budget does not take away from the anime at all because I believe it goes well with the detective story. None of the characters are pretty or cute which makes ova seem more realistic. It also animated some great scenery from a couple of Japan's cities. 7/10
Sound: I can't say I remember much but nothing annoyed me. Sub and dub both are done well. Decent background music. One thing I do remember is that they changed the dialogue and accents from the background characters, when Goru travels from Tokyo to another city. It is easy to recognize in the sub and probably not at all in the dub, but is mentioned in both. 6/10
Characters: The main character is Detective Goru he is a private detective and works with other private detectives for a firm. To me it seems the other detectives and the people that run the firm are main characters from the manga but only make a small appearance in this ova and that is probably due to them only showing one case from the manga. The killer and other people involved in the case get well developed for the case so the audience gets a real feel of what these characters are going through. You get to know more and more about Detective Goru's personality as the ova progresses . 7/10
I did enjoy it nothing really bored me when I was watching it. I wish they had done at least a few more ovas and maybe we could have gotten introduced to more of the main characters from manga. Like I said earlier it is really just a random case from the manga adapted into animated form. To me I think it is probably not even the best case or story the manga had to offer. I could just tell by watching this ova that the manga will have more interesting stories and cases to show. I haven't read the manga and don't plan to read it, but that's just because I don't really like to read.
I watch a lot of anime and I don't really watch any american TV even though I live in America so I can't say for sure if the twist has not been done before. but I have not seen it before. I think you should give it a watch especially if you like some detective mysteries.

Shigurui is one of my favorite stories of all time but I almost chose not to read it due to the fact that I really did not like the anime and how it was done. In the end I gave the manga a chance and loved every moment of it.
the plot
The story is about two great swordsmen one is blind and crippled and the other has lost an arm. They are sworn Enemies and hate each other
...
with a passion.
The story or plot is really good they build up alot of tension between these two main characters really slowly and the reader can feel this tension. Fujiki and Irako the swordsmen are very similar and were brought up in the world under hardship and cruelty until they become disciples of Iwamoto Kogan(at different times) the greatest swordsmen. Don't get me wrong though being disciples of this dojo is not a walk in the park for these two young swordsmen. Their master Kogan is a sick twisted monster and becomes a father figure for Irako and Fujiki.
So who will succeed Kogan as the master? Irako or Fujiki. How did they end up with those crippling injuries? Its all answered in the manga.
The art is fantastic the answers to my previous two questions are beautifully illustrated in the manga. One of the reasons why I did not like the anime was cause of the animation it was a style that I did not like and the narration was not to my taste. When I read the manga I was just so impressed with the art and illustrations especially of the action scenes and blood and gore stuff.
Characters development is what the plot really had to to rely on and it was done great. The two swordsmen Irako and Fujiki I have already talked about but I want to say what made their development so special is that you can't fault them for what they do nor can you take sides on who you think is more right. In the end all you can do is wonder if these two could have been friends under different circumstances. So far the only other Character I have mentioned is the master Kogan he and the other side characters(other disciples , lovers, and politicians, etc) have alot to do with the story and are a big part of why these two young men slowly turn into monsters and hate each other. I am not going to talk about the other characters because it would take to long but just trust me the author of the manga does them justice by developing them really well.
Enjoyment. I enjoyed reading this manga too much I just couldn't put it down after every chapter. I don't read many manga as you can tell if you look at my profile. The only reason I will pick up a manga is if the anime that I liked has more story left or if I thought it had some potential the latter was the case with Shigurui. This does have nudity and some blood and gore stuff and sometimes they put it together so for some this can be disturbing. But nudity stuff is not fan service related it really plays to the story.
Overall This is a great Manga to read Especially if your into Blood and gore So Berserk fans might really like this. If you notice any spoilers or have any comments to improve my review just comment on my page and I will do my best Thanks for reading. hopefully I can get at least one person to read this manga.

Every year they come out with a new Lupin the Third special. I have watched up to 14 of them and Lupin III episode 0 First Contact has to be the best one so far.
The story is about how Everyone of the main characters in Lupin III franchise met each other for the first time. Lupin III , Fujiko , Jigen, Goemon and Inspector Zenigata are the characters in the story. Lupin, Fujiko and Goemon are all after the same artifact and Jigen is working for the mafia that has the treasure. Inspector Zenigata is following a lead on the criminal Fujiko. The setting Takes
...
place In New York.
The story is probally not as acurate on how they met but other than Goemon meeting Lupin im not to sure how Jigen and Fujiko met up with Lupin. What story does that is interesting is that it stays true what would happen when they did meet and how they interact with each other. And they pull this off really good. The setting in New York through me off a little bit because I would imagine they would meet up in Japan but mabey to make the story more intersting New York was the best bet
The animation is great it has more of that new anime style while staying true to the character designs. Some of goemon scenes cutting up stuff is really kool to watch.
Sound is great the music has top notch jazz stuff. Voice Acting was off the hook. What I really liked to have seen was the great Yasou Yamada (1995) voice Lupin in this special because It was truly worthy of him. Im not taking anything away from Kurita because his voice acting of Lupin was something really special especially the scenes with Jigen and Lupin III.
The characters were the best part of the special. They were portrayed exactly how they should be in every special. Lupin III being himself taking nothing serious, Jigen being himself very serious and Stuborn, Goemon also being very stuborn and slashing away at everything In sight when fighting Lupin. Fujiko with her charm and seducing ways to backstab people and Inspector Zenigata who is brilliant and tough yet clumsy but always giving Lupin III headaches.
I Really enjoyed this special. I would reccommend Lupin III episode Zero First Contact to anyone Lupin fan or not, Especially If you are looking to get into the Lupin Franchise because this is a great watch.

I am surprised no one has written a review of this anime yet. Its kind of intimidating being the first one to write a review about a classic Anime like Lupin the third Part 2.
Well lets get onto the review. The plot is about the adventures of famous thief lupin the third and his partners Jigen ( one of the best marksman in the world) Goemon (the samurai and thief that can even cut steel) And Fujiko ( a beautiful thief spy who often betrays Lupin and his partners) There is no real overall story just like Lupin Part 1 its basically episodic unless there is
...
a two part special (which is rare but good). Its more light hearted than the first series and from what I heard also the manga. The first series was kind dark gritty and action packed, but Lupin the Third part two has more humor and a lot more operations based on stealing. It also has some serious moments that make the episodes good.
The art is excellent for it time and I think it aged well. You can also tell that some of the newer anime might have gotten some of their inspiration from the character designs notably Lupin and Goemon. Also the background scenery from different places around the world look really good.
Sound. The sound is amazing from the explosions to the car chases everything is done well. The best thing about the sound is the music they Got this Jazz thing going and it works really well for the series and they know how use the music and how to time it. The seiyuus are the best part of the anime, they don't miss a beat and really work well together and take their own character to a new level even some bad episodes are watchable cause of them.
The Characters are best the thing about the series I believe.
Lupin The Third- Greatest thief in the world, also really hard to kill and catch. only weakness though is women mainly Fujiko.
Daisuke Jigen- The best marksmen of the group he is also pretty kool himself. He is also doesn't trust Fujiko.
Goemon- The strongest swordsman in the world and he can cut anything even steel. he is very loyal and follows his own honor code. He also doesn't trust Fujiko.
Fujiko- A sexy thief, spy and a traitor usually to Lupin. Always looking to get Lupins skills involved and then rip him off. She knows she can get away with it since Lupin is madly in love with her or just really attracted to her.
Zenigata- the man that chases Lupin with limited success but never gives up. Always there to make it harder for Lupin and the Gang.
The kool thing about the characters other than their skills and style is that they have a great bond and have each others backs (even fujiko sometimes) and they rather die than betray each other it really shows in certain episodes.
I really enjoyed the series but i am not going to lie there are some episodes that flat out bored me but I think it might have to do with the person who directed those certain episodes. The humor is great but I do wish there was more blood and more episodes about people trying assassinate Lupin the Third or one of his Partners. Really enjoyable though if you looking for something to kickback and enjoy some laughs and clever heists and not think to much about.
Overall i gave it a 9 I easily give high scores and I know that but I resisted giving this a 10 because some episodes were just not that good, but I still gave it a 9 because it is a classic and one of my favorites.

Ayatsuri Sakon is anime about a young boy puppet master who is skilled at using puppets and soliving cases involving murder.
Story:9
The story of Ayatsuri Sakon is About A Young shy boy named Sakon and his puppet Ukon getting involved in some weird cases involing murder and it is up to them to solve these cases. The story is really kool becasue its not episodic but instead they are like 3 or 4 episode arcs which is really different than im use to. Its like watching a mini movie every arc.
Art/animation: 9
The art and animiation were great it had that old school anime feel. Characters
...
were animated well and so were the areas and places.
Sound:8
I didn't pay to much attention to the sound but the opening and ending were decent and music in the episodes had that mystery and murder feel to it.
Characters:8
I really think the only chacters get developed are Sakon and Ukon. there are different characters in every arc and some recurring charcters like Sakon's aunt and cameraman friend. Sakon is a shy and smart character and he uses his puppet to help him say stuff that he wouldn't say.
Enjoyment:10
I really enjoyed this series from start to finish. It was really enjoyable how people interacted with Sakon and his Puppet Ukon. It had me wondering if the puppet was a dual personality or just a way to express himself.
Overall :9
If you like mystery anime and want to try something a little different this is a good anime to pick up. This anime has some unique cases and a differnt approach to solving them. you should give it a try.

LOGH has been rated really high on this site for a long time. When I first came to MAL I was interested in watching more great anime, so LOGH being so highly rated was one of the first animes added to my plan to watch list. I never really got to it though because I wasn't sure how good it was going to be since it was pretty old and long 110 episodes. Now that I finally watched it, I can say that LOGH is truly deserving of that high rating and mabey even more.
Even though I watched the series first (which is why I
...
was confused for the first few episodes), I reccommend watching in this order. I believe this order will enhance the viewers enjoyment and experience.
LOGH My conquest is the Sea Of the Stars
LOGH Overture to a New War
LOGH 110 OVA (The Main Series)
LOGH Gaiden 1 and 2.
Okay now on to My Review Finally.
LOGH Overture to a New War is a movie that is a better detailed version of the first 2 episodes of the main series. The Plot Is about two military Leaders (Reinhard Von Lohengram and Yang Wen-li) from Different sides, overcomming obstacles within their own side while at the same time battling each other in strategic space warfare. The movie also has more background information leading into the main series.
The Story I gave 10 even though I didn't offer much detail on the plot, because I didn't want to spoil anything. The story is really good, it has great view in politcs and war. It also has great action and very intelligent battles. The story itself is very Intelligent
I gave a 10 to the art and animation of the movie because first of all it is better than the series animation. It looks more new and clean than the main series. The characters and spaceships are well drawn and so are cities and places.
Sound I give a 10 the movie sounds really good and has great classical music that goes well with the movie. They time the music really well with what is happening at the time. They also have great voice actors in the movie and series.
Characters are amazing in the movie and the series. You will see yourself likeing charcters from both sides and not know who you are rooting for to come out alive or win. The charcters get well developed in this movie but you can tell there is still room for more developing after the movie which makes the movie so great.
I enjoyed the movie alot its one of those movies you can watch over and over. Its a real good introduction to the series and some of the main characters.
Overall Its a epic movie and I believe if you give it a try you will enjoy it, especially space opera fans.
