Overall it's an ok romance manga. Once you get used to the whole "tasting each others drool" it feels like any other romance mange out there. Though the main character's romance progresses quickly in the beginning their relationship quickly stagnates and nothing happens for the rest of the manga.
Even in the ending where you would at least expect a kiss or some climax for the ending, the author baits the reader out and you don't even get that. There are lots of romance manga cliches like misunderstandings, plenty of love rivals, and a main character that frequently is

I am a hundred chapters deep into this manga and honestly, I think it's pretty good. Not incredibly groundbreaking, but good.
I think the strength of this manga lies in the absurdity within some of the concepts presented in the story rather than the amazing character writing and plot. I think the humor is good and some of the jokes landed really well, which is something that is hard to do with translations and different cultures having different humor.
