I make a commendation for Tokage and Hi no Matoi not because they are similar in plot, but because they are 2 seriously under-read manga. It's not an uncommon phenomenon, but I figure recommending them is the least i can do.

Hi no Matoi

A kid who wants to do something bigger- however, in Hi No Matoi he is running from people who would wish to kill him for his title. Both of them have "older brother" figures that look out for them and worry for them. Both are about Samurai and overcoming demons of the past.

Kuroshitsuji and Hi no Matoi have beautiful art and some of their characters remind me of each other - a noble "brat", and an unorthodox "older brother-like" figure - even so Wakagimi reminds me more of Sebastian and Kotarou reminds me of Ciel.

they remind me of each other because the main girls in each are being sacrificed for a god, though in red soul the girl is being sacrificed to a god of death and loves a human named kiron, and in BWG she gradually falls in love with the god

Shinigami Doggy

a relatively normalish-teenager runs in with a demon(MTNN)/shinigami(Shinigami doggy) both are hilarious and funny and in so reminded me of each other. While in Shinigami doggy the boy has to work with the shinigami to save his life, the girl in MTNN makes a deal with a devil to save her father and from that they are both dragged into a situation that is more than they bargained for

Toneriko is to Ciel as Tekirai is to Sebastian; in both stories the main boys family was killed and he is seeking revenge. also both have hints of bl, great art, and a grasping story line- if you liked one you'll like the other

Dogs: Bullets & Carnage
|
While the plots aren't very similar they both have a lot of psychological themes and probably shouldn't be read by somebody who is faint of heart. Sidooh is about two brothers struggling to survive and become samurai while DBC is about four people who's lives are somehow interconnecting with the same underground organization

Both are dealing with someone struggling to make it big in the entertainment industry- in this case, kyouko and the five main protagonist in Teen Spirit- from there the differences grow enormously. Kyouko begins her struggle with Ren and the boys begin to struggle against their differences and getting along.
