They both have the same director and are profoundly philosophical with existentialistic themes which is mirrored in the characters and the story in it's entirety.

If you liked Last Exile add

...then you might like The Sky Crawlers add

Aerial dogfights, lots of CGI. An unexplored setting with wars against unfamiliar foes. The story and characters are quite different though.

If you liked Texhnolyze add

...then you might like Shigurui add

They both carry a similar very slow paced dark and brooding atmosphere which seems to continuously grow as the show progresses. Both are depressive and are much focused on communication through the visuals, as well as using some non-standard animation, less cuts and more detail put into every scene, very beautiful art in both. Though they have quite opposite settings.

If you liked Mind Game add

...then you might like Kemonozume add

Very similar animation. Similar atmosphere though Kemonozume's mood is more dark and Mind Game's mood is more light-hearted and funny. Similar crazy plot-lines as well.

If you liked Texhnolyze add

...then you might like Ergo Proxy add

Both are dark dystopic cyberpunk animes. Texhnolyze is alot darker and slower in pacing. Ergo Proxy is more action and perhaps more psychological?

Both are low-pace dark cyberpunk animes which can be at times focused on visual communication.
