I really wanted to enjoy this, but unfortunately it feels like this was meant to be 12 episodes and got compressed into 6.
As a consequence there's no time for characters to develop, everything feels rushed, and we just get fed the story beats without any emotional weight to back it up.
It’s a shame because this could have been a lot of fun, there’s a cool blend of traditional anime tropes mixed with some unique western ideas that could have really made this stand out if given a more proper treatment.
The opening is incredible though and there's some cool fights.

If we are talking about just the source material that was coverd this season, this is an easy 10/10, however as an animated adaptation this season unfortunately disappoints.
It’s not that Mappa did a terrible job (with the resources they had available this is overall a commendable effort), but it’s hard not to feel that this part in the story deserved a little more. Jujustu Kaisen is a very entertaining anime especially if you're looking for a show with some great fights in it.
Mappa went all out with this adaption ensuring that almost every episode (in its 24 episode run) has some impressively animated moment in it. Whether it be a huge climatic battle or tiny skirmish, Mappa has ensured that every fight will have some badass flare and Sakuga mixed in to it. If you're looking for an intriguing plot and characters you may be a little disappointed, but that's not to say their isn't some great characters in here. Also, the concept of having the ultimate bad-guy sharing ... Mar 11, 2021

A fun and fast-paced survival series where at any moment your favorite character could be executed within the span of a panel.
Because of this there are constant flows of exhilaration when the cast overcomes the odds only for that new found hope to be snatched away in an instant as a newer and more sinister test arises. With how unjust some of the character’s suffer and die, Kamisama’s story can feel oppressively nihilistic, but to that same extent, it’s how the character's struggle through the cruelty of their world and find meaning in their lives that makes this manga a rewarding and heartfelt read.
