Kanon 2006 is basically a better version of Myself; Yourself. First, we have a highschool main character that has returned home after leaving as a child. We have lighthearted, romantic side-stories that keep the show interesting. This series was animated by none other than Kyoto animation: THE studio for highschool romcoms. If you liked that aspect of Myself; Yourself, you'll love it in this anime. We have drama. Kanon has 20-something episodes and M;Y has 13. You do the math. The viewer gets to spend more time with the characters which is something that I feel like Myself; Yourself was lacking. Might I mention that there is a recurring theme of snow in Kanon that makes it stand out as something unique among other anime. In conclusion, Kanon is to Myself; Yourself as Clannad is to Angel Beats. It's just better in every aspect and if you liked M;Y, I GUARANTEE you will like Kanon.
