I had my problems about beggins bakuten!! and I regret it. I'm happy about how this anime wasn't popular enough to have a fanbase as annoying as SK8 that took down my experience every time I got on twitter.
With this theme, I was prepared for something full of queerbaiting and shallow sport (which is no demerit to me), however only the second part happened. Of course, no one wanted a anime video lecture about male gymnastics, but it was always a subject that I was interested and followed.
That's why disappointed me how easy it was for the protagonist, who was not a genius and had
...
never practiced the sport before, dominated everything so fast to the point that 12 episodes have already been competing with the boys who have been doing it for years. My thinking is that a baby steps mode would be best for this case, after all it's not as simple a thing as "tag you're It". The short number of episodes ordered gives the need for urgency, but i didn't buy so well.
The generic dramas they are inserted are sometimes nebulous and shallow, but they are quick to explain why they are that way. For me the most interesting thing was the teacher who was a talented star thay after an injury finds himself lost in a world where he must live as a normal and almost hopeless person. Just the kind of person he disliked so much, brutal.
It implies to me how much the boys who make up the team are not even close to having that impact. The bespectacled boy who just nods and talks well about the hot red-haired captain (Free! Mood) is completely forgettable even though he's been there from the beginning. The green haired boy is a total waste, his mob personality is very funny and I hope he will be exploited in the future. Shotaro is what we call a dreamy protagonist who doesn't have that much talent, but tries very hard to be excellent, so he can inspire new kids to get into the sport. He's satisfying. Unlike the team star, he is shallow and predictable like a transparent door. The direction can't even explain how he is so above average as they say, the only trick used is that horrid white-haired character who appears to be annoying and talented, as we've seen in other animes of the genre.
I don't like to judge with so few episodes, I know that in the future new characters will be developed, but I hope they will be treated in a more intelligent way. I also doesn't like the animation style they used at the time of the presentations, but it's very acceptable. The final performance is one of the most beautiful things of the year, with the brawny, sweaty boys glowing in the gym lights after so much battle. Here was managed to convey the feeling of reward for having seen all the episodes, cheering for them fly.
Keep flying boys, and bringing artistic gymnastics to more boys who might be interested in something so beautiful.

This anime has a really low rating compared to other crap I've seen this season. C'mon guys It's not that bad. It's actually quite satisfying, the characters are of a somewhat "raw" design that reminded me for a very quick minute of JoJo.
The character arcs wouldn't be incredibly complex with 12 episodes (it makes me question why they put in those 3 new students who are a total offensive caricature), but they're satisfying. However, the protagonist himself is a bit faded in the middle, only having his own moment at the end. I like the concept of his biggest enemy actually being his own captain,
...
and how the entire team is shaped by him that was only inserted in episode 3, but it seems so indispensable.
The direction is good, the animation too, I thought it was weird those frames with "struggle" appearing in a aggressive way as if we were in a Gatorade commercial, but in the last episode I was already vibrating with it.
I've had my contact with Kabaddi before, and I didn't know the historical weight and how it was erased here. I thought it was really good to have been highlighted above, a gigantic blunder by the mangaka. Hope it gets fixed in the future.
In the end, it is like a sport anime of the season, even though it follows an already defined style, it draws attention for approaching such a different sport and an above-average technical production. I'll be here for the next season as it was so much fun.

As an LGBT boy I can speak to "property" how much I have been caught up in this story. The carnal relations between the boys was the truest thing I have ever seen without those bizarre exaggerations or grotesque biological failures of other BLs.
The characters had their characterization scenes, but unfortunately the transition of facts from this film could be much better. Perhaps as a series of chapters this would be better structured, and would show a lot more this catchy story.
Mio is a complete sweetie who deserved something as solid as Shun had. This aforementioned one is really an obnoxious character severy times, but
...
very understanding. I could feel his emotions and fears as if he were on his skin, like the daddy issues, the fear of declaring his feelings and all that. As I said before, as an LGBT boy they got me.
The romance between them was built a lot on "InstaLove" and fast scenes, which is a shame, but I don't think they are in a shallow relationships at all. I don't know what the original material looks like, however I want to know one day. The movie sometimes feels like a business card for the manga and it shakes me up about how much fun it really was. I will reveal this.
The technical team has to be honor for this work, it was one of the most beautiful things I saw this year and I really hope to see another act as good as it soon.
In the end this anime can be about losses, the fear of being alone, personal discoveries and finding romance in chaos. Even with a montage as chaotic as the problems of this characters,it's remains highly recommended especially if you are in the target audience like me and want to watch a cool boy's love.

I expected a solid start to this anime that would make me wait for the next year, and for almost the middle of the season I thought it would be. But, at a certain point the plot goes crazy and everything turns into a jumble of megalomaniacal scenes without any impact due to the rush of events.
I was surprised that in episode 13, all the basic characters from the beginning had immense god-level powers, and that's the anime's premise about taking powers from the gods. Still, it still sounds basic and convenient for a few moments. If you've never seen a shonen, you wouldn't see
...
a problem, but certain things are too much.
The production team is to be congratulated at least, it is the highlight of this anime. Somehow it was beautiful and fun, but the wasted potential drives me crazy. Maybe more episodes would solve it, maybe not. Just time to know; I hope so.
