I enjoyed Prison School, from start to finish, in some way. Not always the same way, but I definitely found enjoyment in some way or other throughout reading it. So remember that while you read this review.
Some times, the characters act completely out of what they were established, creating a situation that turns out to be another comedic, nonsensical disaster. Maybe the only two fully consistent characters were the Vice-President and the Chairman. And I think that's ok, since it was always funny in the "what-the-hell-is-happening" kind of way, but not completely random. Saotome is a very interesting read that won't let you down with some buff girls, cute guys, and a pretty vanilla romance which is kind of rare in a sports manga centered around girls. If you want to have a feel-good-3-to-4-days-of-reading, you can read this pretty quick since most chapters aren't that long!
Pacing for the story was nice. Most characters had their time to shine and the story didn't seem to slow down too much, which I only felt did at times. Perhaps it was also a bit rushed at the end. 7/10 The art was the lowest point of this one. It's got ... |
