Boruto ~ An allegedly battle-oriented shounen that is supposedly classified in the Top 3 of the New gen.
NOTE: There were many other reviewers from different series that provided inspiration for this one mainly read a lot of Single H's reviews because I enjoy long reviews, and took some of the writing styles I guess.
Boruto entered my life the moment I finished the war arc of Naruto, and even though I knew the massive filler from this anime since I just finished Naruto in late 2018, I thought that it would still be decent. If you didn't know, Boruto was very well-liked even though many people hated the fillers,
...
or should I say it wasn't as hated as it is now. Unlike many others, I am a person that is basically controlled by nostalgia and fond memories of things, which is exactly why Fairy Tail with many plot holes is my favorite anime and is rated as a 10 on my list because it was my first completed anime, but please don't send me inconvenient hate by any means, this is just how I am and it's all MY OPINION, which you can agree with or don't agree with, I don't care, you do you.
When I watched Naruto, Studio Pierrot gave me the impression that their top priority anime is Naruto and that they will continue it with Boruto in high quality as well. However, this does not imply that their execution of Naruto was flawless by any means; rather, they made an ass-pull move by altering various scenes in a way that made some characters look bad for others to stand out. The main victims were Sakura and Hinata, of the lack of common sense for Sakura which they made it look like, and the fanservice + stalker vibes for Hinata, and those things made the characters look so messed up. Don't get me wrong; they improved some aspects of the manga, such as giving some characters more screen time with their suitable filler, and the fights were typically really well animated. However, this information relates to Naruto, not Boruto, so just so you know, it made me hold Boruto to a higher standard because it implied that Studio Pierrot handled Naruto reasonably well. However, boy, was I wrong.
For those who are still reading, this is when my "review," which is rather biased, truly starts.
I want to start with some of the positives, and animation is one of the most notable ones. I know, I know, it's one of the main complaints of the series, but it's far from bad I don't know what's so bad about it. It's just decent, nothing so bashful, and yeah, I noticed some still frames and some dirty placeholders (kinda surprised that almost no one noticed this because if you look back at some scenes from other episodes, the same animation gets used at other episodes, just different clothes and a different background), but again there are many good things about the art of this, the quality is quite good, the colors are vivid and cute, the overall faces and expressions are better than the manga, the fight scenes are decent, the still frames are quite short not too noticeable, the canon scenes are good the fillers are bad, and overall it's somewhere from bad to decent for a long-running anime, and the amount of little time and little budget could have been the reason to some of the dirty things regarding the animation.
Regarding openings, endings, and soundtracks, it's decent, but unlike the prequel, Naruto, the soundtracks in Boruto are VERY forgettable; I had to skim through some episodes to like get the quality of the soundtracks, it merely just gets hard on action scenes and happy at happy scenes with no special things to it; just plain. The openings are a banger and it's good enough for me to save a compellation of the best ones, but again, nothing too special; and the endings are so fucking bad, as they are always weird and childish... but its a very low priority to me so I don't mind it at all.
The characters of Boruto are unsubtly the exact copy of the characters in Naruto, I don't even appreciate the fact that they gave screentime to characters that don't get to shine in the manga like I could care less if the wannabe "saviors" to the characters of the manga is literally not connected to anything of the plot and are boring and annoying. This is where Boruto lacks depth into it even though at the same time it's overshadowed like it's just weird to explain.
The antagonists for the first half of the run in fillers were literal fooders which somehow took ages for them to be defeated, you see in Boruto fillers there is always this one bad guy which a good guy Team 7 meets don't like, and then Boruto gets a bond with the good guy and they get on and off depending on the situation and it's just most of the arc, and the final few episodes sums up with decently done fights but with TRASH antagonists, this starts from the trip to the land of waves arc and is repeatedly used with some few changes here and there, and for the academy students in different teams, they aren't even worthy to be discussed, just little children with some insecurities and issues with opening up, and emos, the only thing good is the interesting designs and clothes to some of the kids.
The second half of filler antagonists are usually just normal people who are unfair, or some little problem involving people to people or powers, and nothing special, I don't have much to say about this.
The canon characters are wonderful, and Team 7 is somewhat of a replica of the original Team 7, but oh well, Mitsuki is engaged in it so no complaints here. I enjoy Mitsuki and Sarada, but not Boruto, or at least not for the majority of the season. The main canon characters in the canon things are probably the finest part of this anime. I don't want to give any spoilers away, but I just love how unique each and every one of them is at their own speed, especially the canon antagonists, and how they managed to pull it together even in some of the filler stuff.
Plot holes are much evident in Boruto, this is largely due to how the manga comes like once in three weeks, and as the fact that Studio Pierrot wanted to make it long-running, this would never have worked out, I don't even feel like it had potential if they wanted fillers with side characters, with the manga it's pretty evident nothing will come out of it, should have made it seasonal I would have surely loved it. I feel really bad for manga readers who wanted to just watch canon stuff of the anime, since sadly they always add in extra troops to the canon stuff, for example even though I don't remember much of it, for example, the Mujina Bandits arc was played around with into adding extra stuff to get Shojiji a more like reasonable villain and some backstories to what happened with the prison filler stuff, even though I enjoyed it, it felt really long and the prison arc was like an imposter thingy and it was so predictable (no spoilers again).
For the second half of canon stuff, aka after the Vessel arc, the canons stuff was very much enjoyable, Jigen had a much more evident appearance compared to the manga and Kashin Koji was literally please, so cool, and I personally think Kawaki has a pretty cool past and was a good add on to the Naruto Family which many people don't agree with, but it was all really good, also if you are a manga reader you may know why the anime is now a lot cooler than anime watchers may think it is (ch 79). The code arc was kinda badly animated in the first 2 or 3 episodes, but yeah we found many cool characters and stuff, I liked it, and just last week we got the ______ vs _______ fight which is also good (no spoilers again and again), which totally made me rate this anime a better score, so regarding the plot, it's getting better each episode, and I very much like it.
And, regarding the last episode, it was just omg, I loved it, if every episodes were like it I would have liked Boruto more than Naruto and even could have been in my favorites, but eh it's spoiler heaven, so no spoilers here.
Overall, I personally recommend people to not waste time on the anime and just go straight into the manga, it's straightforward, which the anime lacked, the anime did not even know what it was doing... But, I do recommend people to watch some canon fights in the animated form after reading them in the manga it's a lot cooler. Also, this was the last episode of the part one of the anime, so yeah I think that news is cool since the next part should go straightforward, and yeah I hope everyone will be there too, since boruto is great without fillers, trust me!!!
But as for Part 1 of Boruto, this is my overall rating with fillers and canon stuff:
Story - 2/10
Characters - 1/10
Animation - 7/10
Fights - 6/10
OSTS - 3/10
Openings - 8/10
Endings - 2/10
Thanks, for the fun ride I enjoyed every bit of it despite some of the disappointing stuff and I can't deny the last few episodes were beautiful... nevertheless yeah!
Overall - 4/10

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest

Similar to other people, Fairy Tail has given me a "void" in my heart, most of us wanted to drop it by the "last" arc of Fairy Tail which was just... you know messed up I guess, it could have been at least decent but Mashima wasted off it, especially the villains, the forgettable spriggan 12, and the OVERhyped... trust me TRULY OVERhyped Acnologia who got wasted off in mere chapters. But, this is about the new manga 100-year quest which is obviously not even near as popular as the original run of Fairy Tail, but I think PERSONALLY that people should at least give

As being a nerd.. and still am, this anime was enjoyable... but moving on to the actual review this show has so many mixed feelings for me personally...!
Story - (4/10) The story, starts of really great, I enjoyed everything, and the "nerd" genre was used fairly and it did not feel too dragged out... well until later at least. Like, you see, this anime at some point started to feel too re-used and boring at the same point, and the "nerd" genre started to feel FLAT OUT, they did not even use the "nerd" genre, and rather "i just want a good life" trope instead, ... Fairy Tail: Final Series

I watched this season a year ago, and I would love to say it "disappointed" me... but, after re-watching the final season last week, I think that I am ready to write a review about Fairy Tail's Final Season until the 100 Year's quest is animated....
Story - 3/10 Fairy Tail always had plot-holes but I always ignored it and followed the plot, with the enjoyment and comedy in my mind, but in the Alvarez Arc, the start was really good, and I was tuned in on the plot and was really excited for it, but it sadly did not make me happy, the plot was crappy, ... My Hero Academia is one of the most over-hyped anime out there and if you are wanting to watch this show I recommend you to read my review and other's too because for some people it may be a hit but for others like me it was a miss.
Story - 3/10 This is one of the negative side of this show, since it is very bland and somewhat childish. The story starts of with this boy or rather a fanboy named Midoriya who wants to become a hero but has no quirk/power like any normal people, so he cant be one. But, the world's ... |
