Both shows star individuals who have achieved widespread notoriety through their past actions and are extremely skilled with their weapons of choice. The true personality of both individuals surprise the other characters who only know of them by their reputation. Both individuals, despite their reputations and status as dangerous warriors, have sworn to never take a life and go to great pains to abide by that vow. However, they are still willing to fight if necessary.

I recall watching one of the early episodes of Darling in the FranXX and thinking to myself that it "gave me a similar vibe" to Eureka Seven. These two shows are extremely similar when it comes to their respective premises. For example, both shows are mecha anime that place a major focus on the romance between a human boy and a girl who is (at least partially) alien/non-human. However, the main female leads are opposites in personality: Eureka is very stoic and subdued and her relationship with Renton takes some time to develop into romance whereas Zero Two displays her emotions openly and is a lot more teasing and forward with Hiro from the start. If you liked either Darling in the FranXX or Eureka Seven, I recommend giving the other a shot if you haven't already.
