Now here me out before you go, "wtf! these two are nothing alike!" Well, you're not entirely wrong, but there are a lot of similarities between the two. If you're looking for a deep story line, you're in for a treat. Similarities: They both have awesome pacing (I am not counting the second season of Psycho Pass here). There is no clear "antagonist" in both series. You might be able to argue on who the antagonist is, but really, it's far more abstract than that. They question how society is run and why things are the way things are. Both, unfortunately, front loads the setting. Very character driven. Differences: One is a police anime and the other one is about kids who live underwater and travel to the surface. That should be enough.

So Ra No Wo To

Both are centered around cute moe moe girls doing day to day things but both also incorporate a musical aspect to it; K-On being a school band and Sound of the Sky being our main charcater, Kanata, joining the army to learn how to play the trumpet. Both are very cute shows but Sound of the Sky has a subtle plot line that is sure to make you catch at least some feels. If you're looking for a decent moe moe show and have already watched K-On, Sound of the Sky is surely to fill that gap. Although be warned, this is a military anime. That's all the spoils I plan on saying.

Now I really don't know why flying witch has such a low rating, but I'll try to be objective here. The Natsume Yuujinchou franchise is something that is held in a very high regard in the anime community and Flying Witch has similar aspects to it. They have got similar art styles and the same relaxing feel to it. Both shows have supernatural aspects to them that shows different characteristics that appear in each. If you liked the Natsume Yuujinchou series (which you should) then you should definitely give Flying Witch a try.

Both in a work place. Every character has their own personality and the show's main comedy comes from either slapstick comedy or how each character misunderstands something

Akatsuki no Yona

Main character uses a guandao, set in ancient times, similar goals of protecting the people they love. Akatsuki no Yona is more shoujo based with more comedy and more tender moments, again if you're looking for a tender/romantic anime with pretty guys and some action with a lot of comedy, watch this. Moribito is more serious and if you want an anime like akatsuki no yona with more seriousness and less romance, this would be it. Moribito is more like motherly love than princess with guardian love.

If you love guns/anime with a lot of guns, love kick ass female leads, semicrazy people and a lot of deep, deconstruction storyline, then you got what you came for! Both have to do with some form of weapon delivery, multiple kick ass females, extremely overly buff guys/gals, someone that just straight up looks like the black sheep in the pack, and people screwing over the government. Gotta love that.

Same semi love triangle with a little love between all the characters. You have the cheery girl and the cool calm and collected girl. There's a sense of romance between all three characters, meaning there will be times where it's some what "shoujo ai" like. White album 2 focuses more on the drama part and the comedy is pretty bad, but the drama + progression more than makes up for it. Snafu focuses more on character development and sentiment + life values and has very tender moments. I would highly recommend both of them. P.S. Watch season one of Snafu and the first season of White Album has nothing to do with White Album 2.

The art style is similar and the characters themselves reflect on that. Both have romance mixed with a recreational activity being music and a card game. Arata is very similar to Kousei in terms of both art style and personality/backstory Taichi and Watari look alike and are popular among girls Kaori and Chihaya have some similarities between them, but the main focus is on the two leading male protagonists and their decision making.
