Both of the series have a male protagonist with similar personality. Sakuragi Hanamichi and Mitsuhashi Takashi are a lot alike; they have idiotic smiles and laughs, Hanamichi used to be a delinquent while Mitsuhashi is still one, they both like to fight though they often use tricks to escape from the difficult situations and find the easier way from them. Both animes are full of humorous things; their genres are shounen and comedy, while in Slam Dunk sport (basketball) has a great role as well. Both series were aired in the '90s, that's why the design of the anime is unique, i find the way they make the characters into chibis cute and adorable. Kyou kara Ore wa!! isn't subbed completely, only the first OVA has English subs unfortunately.

Both of them are light novels with yaoi genre. One of the main characters (the seme) is a chef in a restaurant where they meet with their love. After overcoming some difficulties in their relationships they find happiness and live happily ever after. Both of the novels have good stories which can be easily read and enjoyed.

Somehow both of the series give similar fealings at least for me, especially around the end of the anime. Both deals with deep feelings, in one of the animes the main point is love between siblings and the other one is centers around a guy who dates more girls at the same time. Worth to watch. Really.

Both series center around homosexual relationships, and they mention the negative side of it too. The stories are heart-warming and often sad, but the ends are happy. The realitic situations and the characters are all nice and make you believe that they might have been true stories.
