if you like having blue balls from back and forth will they do it? won't they do it? will some character development finally stay true and not be completely disregarded 2 seconds later?
then this is the anime for you
honestly, i was watching this since i was curious to see how shoujo ai romance is handled but the appeal is mostly fanservice at this point, plot is garbage and frankly it gets really annoying.
tldr; if you like lesbian fanservice and don't care about a shitty romance plot watch it
if not stay away; characters will just piss you off..
6/10 for fanservice lol

I had low expectations when I went into the theaters to watch Boruto: Naruto the movie, mainly due to how disastrous and shitty The Last: Naruto the movie was, but surprisingly I actually enjoyed it!
The plot was basically a recycle of when Orichimaru kidnapped Sasuke back in Naruto, but this time Naruto gets taken, and how Boruto hates the 7th Hokage, aka Naruto.
One weird thing i noticed was how Naruto wanted to be called "7th hokage" in his office instead of "dad or father" which is weird considering how Naruto addressed the 3rd and 5th hokage as Grandpa and Grandma...
Overall the movie was very hilarious,
...
and really cool.
The animation style was great! We finally get to see post-war Sasuke in action and alongside Naruto once more, as well as some cool new ninjutsu and gadgets. I think the shining part of the movie was its comedy, i was laughing the entire time and overall enjoyed it regardless of the somewhat weak plot, but then again its Kishimoto so i'll give him a clap for this one. I do think the ending however, was a bit rushed--they could've made it a bit longer but the overall pacing from the start of the movie to the end was a LOT better than The Last: Naruto the movie.
It wasn't the best naruto movie, but not the worst either.
If you're a hardcore fan and love comedy and don't mind a plot that is just ok, i'd definitely recommend watching this one! Skip the previous installment though, that one was god awful.

This review contains spoilers.
Story: 7/10
This anime had a lot of potential, but it was undoubtedly rushed. Throughout the anime there are some great, though predictable twists, which were enjoyable due to their hilarity. However, there were many points within the anime that were way too cliche. I have not read the manga, but I do see that is ongoing, so I'm guessing the anime made its own path, I am merely judging the writer's of the anime. The story seems generally fast-paced at times and rushed to the point that the lack of development makes it fail somewhat. I don't disagree with killing of main
...
characters in a show (I've been desensitized by Game of Thrones) but without a proper buildup to that point makes the catharsis which the audience feels very fake.
Art: 8/10
The art in the anime seems a bit outdated for its release date when compared to the animation of other anime that were produced by Ufotable. The excessive gore within the anime seems like I'm watching the incredibly old Elfen Lied, but, it is still watchable. The slow motion and sometimes fast-paced camera movement make up for the lack of better animation. In addition, the pan-out scenes that are covered with detailed art when the slicing of a throat of the killing of a character occurs is pretty awesome.
Sound: 7/10
The music could've been better with more rock/action packed type of music, but it's okay I guess. Not great and not bad.
Character: 5/10
This is where the series fails horribly. Going back to the last sentence of the story review, I mentioned the fake feeling we get due to the lack of buildup in the storyline, which of course makes the characters suffer. The characters are introduced and then killed off, again I don't disagree with this, but the lack of character-depth provided makes it less emotional in a way, unlike other anime (FMAB for example). If the series was given two seasons each with 20 episodes or so, giving it more time to buildup the plot and characters, fixing out the flaws, this could've been a masterpiece.
Enjoyment: 8/10
Regardless of the plot and characters, it's been a while since I've watched an anime that was unique, and refreshing. This anime is action-packed, somewhat heart-wrenching and hilarious. I binge-watched it in a day and a half.
Overall: 8/10
8/10 would recommend. :)
One more thing. People don't keep their promises in this anime :/

THE REVIEW HAS NO SPOILERS!
This anime is just amazing.
The title, the characters, the plot, just amazing.
It reminded me a bit of Clannad: After Story, had me tearing up through out the anime.
Very moving!
This anime managed to give me a different perspective on aspects of life, and just makes me appreciate it more.
This is my first review for an anime, so bear with me!
Story: Very well thought out, had me tearing up a lot on certain episodes. The pacing is a bit slow, and rushes itself at times, nevertheless, it's great. In addition to this, the story also seems a bit awkward with its comedic inputs,
...
like a laugh between a sorrowful moment, really shouldn't be there. 9/10
Art: I didn't really like the constant wet feeling, like the tears and sweat seen on the anime, but I guess that's normal.
The art itself is pretty good, reminds me of the art from Ao Haru Ride. 8/10
Sound: Well, it is a Music genre, the sound was freaking amazing, really loved t
he soundtrack, feels all the way. 9/10
Character: The amount of character development given in this anime is truly amazing.
Each character is given their moment, we see their perspective on the events occurring. Which really brings out the amount of work put in by the author of manga. 10/10
Enjoyment: I was really sad on numerous parts of the anime, and I couldn't help shed a few tears, it happens to the best of us. I just finished this anime, and I'm suffering from post anime depression syndrome xD, the ending in my opinion was perfect, though a bit predictable (I caught on by episode 14 or so), still a great anime. Probably one of the best i've seen.
10/10
Overall: This anime will have you laughing, crying, and introspecting. Truly amazing.
