I like the premise of the MC, becoming based sensible like early on and avoiding all the slapstick. He usually has sound reasoning and talks what is on his mind. That's nice. Should happen more.

As for the story, he is pestering this red haired girl for like years in as the setup and then just gives up one day after being rejected countless times. Sensible, move on.

Now the problem is, that in the end he does not move on. He kind of openly keeps feelings for her all the time and then hooks up with her in the end. In the middle he is getting ... acquainted with a bunch of other girls and one of them would really like to date him, and he seems to be falling for her too. Infuriatingly that goes nowhere, and is not resolved either. Hooking up with the new girl and telling his old crush that she hesitated too long would have been a much better ending. They just brush that dynamic off, like "oh well, moving on". That's stupid.

The rest is just spluttering along. There are some interesting ideas, but nothing is really elaborated, so most of it is up to the viewer to imagine a good sub-plot that could have been.

Overall, I did binge it just to see who he ends up with, but I doubt I'll give it a second round. The conclusion is just very meh and the rest is just dragging along.

It's absolutely watchable, but don't set your expectations high.
