Absolutely loved this season of Re:Zero, while I admit the first part of season 2 was a bit boring and stretched out, the second part did it justice by including meaningful scenes and great character development, especially for Emilia. Not much to say for this short review except I really loved it.
Story: 9
I was hooked on the Re:Zero story, and enjoyed it because of its deep world and well written characters, overall a worthy 9.
Art: 8
While the art for Re:Zero is not bad, it wasn't particularly noteworthy or epic, but still solid animation and great work.
Sound: 9
This is just bias from me, but I really
...
love Re:Zeros choice of music for the OPs and EDs, it somehow just fits so well at giving the show that in another world vibe. Other than the OP and EDs, the regular soundtrack helped give the mood to many scenes, and brought the show to life.
Character: 10
The character development in this show never ends, of course we got to see our protagonist's character change, but the real highlights in this season were the side characters, almost all of them had their backstories told, what they did, are doing now, and how they changed. Very solid character development this season.
Enjoyment: 10
An obvious 10 from me, I got hooked on Re:Zero from the first episode, and I've enjoyed every episode since, a very great show in my opinion.
Overall: 10
Re:Zero is the kind of show that doesn't necessarily appeal to everyone, but if it does, you can see the show for how good it really is. I think the show itself is a must watch, and this second season adds so much detail to the story that it's a must watch also.
