When it was airing it had around an 8.30 which was way more fitting, the score spiked after episode 19 because of hype. The manga was below 8.0 before the show started which was more deserving. That stuff pisses me off sometimes too. There are plenty of grifters on MAL.

That doesn't sound like its 2,5 or 3 points (based on what you consider the average of the scale as you can't rate 0 on mal and (1+10)/2 = 5,5) better than the average anime if you consider anime to be a solid medium.

I translated that like this: plot 5; story 3; characters 4; action 8; music 9; bonus for direction, inspiration and emotional value; malus for too short duration.
The rest is missing, I can guess that the animation has to be at least decent because you rated the action scenes quite highly but that could be as well based on the direction.

Your comment cleared that up a bit (technical quality 9) that means if we weight that out as equal aspects than we get something like 6.34 or 6.71 when you count direction as 9. That would mean that the boni are incredibly important which I honestly do not understand if the characters are and act confusing.

It would make sense if I compared this piece of fiction to other media and if this anime 8 equals a 6 or 7 in those media, then anime would be a below average piece of fiction in general with this sole title being one of the better/best (I think I phrased that wrong in my earlier comment).

I honestly think that your review is too short on some aspects to grasp your view on the show and make it relatable regarding me as consumer.

I did a bit of research on your list and your scale seems to only include ratings starting at 4 ranging to 10. Which confused me even more, are you comparing anime to general media, are you comparing anime with anime, do you not bother to list titles that are 3 or below? How do I work with that as a consumer? Should I translate that 4/6 as a 6.67 or 5/7 as a 7.14 (Hey, that kind of makes sense!)? Or should I just ignore the rating and evaluate on my own how I would take the points you made?

I read more negative than positive points in your review and fail to grasp how you came to the conclusion that Black Bullet is an 8/10.
Does 8/10 mean that anime are shit and this below average piece of fiction is one of the best things anime has to offer?
