If you love the up-beat feel and adorably hilarious characters of Free!, you will enjoy the close friendships and on-point comedy of Haikyuu!! Haikyuu!! has significantly less fanservice and little more focus on the team as a whole, and overall is the best sports series I've seen to date.

Ao no Exorcist

Both have dark undertones, stories of brotherhood, a decent-sized cast (though Brotherhood has much more time to expand its number of characters) and a MC with some serious daddy issues. If you liked Blue Exorcist's short and sweet fight scenes, mysterious villains and complicated family relationships, you are sure to like both FMA and FMA: Brotherhood as long as you are willing to commit to a longer series. Trust me, it's worth it.

Karneval (TV)

Black Butler is considerably more episodic and most likely the more dark of the two, but Karneval is not far behind and is surprising in a few different episodes. Both are punctuated by similar sorts of comedy and include the occasional hilariously dorky character. Both have similar character designs and gothic art styles. Both feature primarily male casts with debatably BL (though never over-the-top) undertones. Overall, if you liked Black Butler, you are likely to enjoy the darker plot aspects and animation style of Karneval.
