Dennou Coil (Anime) add
Dennou Coil: A Circle of Children was an unexpectedly great show, and definitely one of my favorites (if not the most favorite)! This is a story about kids with glasses that allow them to see a digital world mapped on top of reality, and trying to discover the truth behind a virus that emerges from corrupted spaces.

This series is painfully under the radar, and almost seems like a Miyazaki movie turned tv-show. Satchi and the Mojos are so cool! XD If you don't know what I'm talking about, now is the time to find out.

Horray for Maho Shou...nen! Complete with magical transformation sequences, swords emerging from bodies(1), Juri (2) and Sailor Uranus/Neptune (3) characters, and mechs with heels! XD The best part about this show is that it's done by Bones, so the art is consistently good. This is one of the shows I look forward to the most this season, and although the story isn't mind blowingly unique, it's still refreshing. And the fight scenes are like emo versions of Sengoku Basara (4). What more could you ask for?

1. See Revolutionary Girl Utena
2. See Revolutionary Girl Utena
3. See Sailor Moon S
4. See Sengoku Basara

Mixed Feelings
This is more like a pilot or one-shot episode (as it aired prior to the beginning of the first season), and was actually re-used or re-animated as episode 17 in the first season of the anime. The season one episode title was: "Tegami Bachi to Dingo" (テガミバチとディンゴ) . So if you've seen the first season already, you've pretty much seen this episode. I want to say that the only difference is that there are more flashbacks in this OVA to compensate it as a one-shot, and the art looks a little sketchier in spots.

Like Eureka Seven and Nausicaa put into one! All in all the show had a different type of storyline with diverse characters - though they all have moments where you want to smack them around. The series had a good start, then got little a slow middle, and then had a moderate wrap up - but I would still recommend it. The animation was clean and pretty (because it's Bones of course!). It was interesting that this series came out on the US Playstation network before it was released to Japan.
