Mixed Feelings Funny 
The anime is all over the place - the first half is okay, there are some interesting plot pieces, some character building. But the second half drops the ball of the entire anime. It is bad on all aspects - the pacing just drops to a halt, all the characters developed are third grade at best (dang, even Stark, who is supposedly one of main characters, feels second-grade support character), the plot focuses on some completely unimportant bureaucratic thing (compared to how everything is presented unimportant on Frieren's time scale). Can't say there is a goal or a central idea in the entire anime thus

Leaving all the irrational poorly developed characters and childish mecha, you can see few signals of a decent dystopia in the last 12-ish episodes. Sadly, it did not shine because of all that noise in front.
The only two good points in this anime are sound (well, it was fine) and those dystopian ideas. Most of the episodes you can simply skip - they do not bring anything to the story, character development or enjoyment. Some episodes are complete cliches - like the beach episode (one of the worst ideas for the setting). The characters themselves are quite standard and straightforward.
