Same premise, girls in military, going to war and does cute things. Almost same plot, almost same crew. The only difference is that in KanColle, they are historical ships,in contrast to being witches in the StrikeWitches, and of course, in KanColle they have real pants/skirts.

In Saekano, the protagonist got an idea to create a game after meeting the "heroine" IRL, he patterned the game heroine to her. In Shoujo-tachi, Sayuki asks Buntarou to be the writer. In some sense, Buntarou is same as the main char in Saekano being a writer.

If you ever liked music, or musical anime drives you.. OR MUSIC FEELS is what you are looking for.. then I think K-ON delivers these feels the same way ShiUso did.. Both anime have music as catalyst for enjoyment even tho they have different stories. It's just, I have both their tracks in my playlist all the time.
