I'm rewatching it for the 3rd time.
I really liked the use of classical music, which is great for Koguma's (Protagonist) daily life.
The motorcycle sound effects are good. Although it's not totally perfect, as in Initial D for example, but it's in the green bar of Acceptable.
The switch from gray to light colors with saturation expressed the world Koguma sees very well.
This paragraph contains a slight SPOILER, but nothing to get in the way: Her relationship with Reiko progresses naturally, and although the two are an unusual case, or probably rare in real life, it's very interesting to see their lifestyles, desires and wants.
I liked how
...
the characters are stable and have a real, calm outlook on their lives. They're looking for something better, but they accept and live for the present day. I'm attached to this because I also work in the same way.
Conclusion:
Overall, it's a calm anime, and I particularly found it more quirky than Yuru Camp. The voice actors aren't even seen normally, or at least not with the voice used in this anime. Whether it's at the request of the staff, the professional ability of the voice actors or both, I feel it's a special touch that they chose not to use voices that appear too often.
The sound effects are well done, making it really sound like a motorcycle engine is running. I mean, when you shift gears, depending on the rpm, the engine will respond differently, and in this anime, the recording was well done and that's what brings realism.
Rating:
I like motorcycles, and maybe that's why it's easier for me to give this anime an 8★, but thinking like someone who doesn't have much or any attachment to motorcycles, that person would probably give it a 6.8-7.4★.
With all that in mind, for me it's 7/10.

The script and plot are very good. Despite being a fictional story, I see reality in the events, although the “Monster” obviously has an almost special and dramatic attention every time he takes action, but judging by the time and his intelligence, it really is possible to do what he does. Nowadays, it would be necessary to update the way he does things.
The opening is very pleasant in terms of spoilers because, unlike most anime, this one doesn't give away any major spoilers, showing only what is necessary and maintaining the mystery of the work.
I really love the opening!
The animation is old, but very enjoyable
...
to watch. It really is.
It's like watching cartoons that used to be on TV, but with Japanese origins.
The realistic features and color palette are very nice. I like it a lot!
Characters:
I like how Eva reacts in the opposite way to normal, for example, instead of crying or opening up to others, she laughs and pretends that nothing hurts her. It's a certain way of protecting her pride, but I can see the author's desire and enthusiasm in having thought of it.
Some people think Lunge is incapable because of his eccentric actions, but I think that's pretty cool. He's a very important character for the story, who makes a difference without leaving any gaps.
Sometimes it can seem unusual, but it's a story. Let's have fun watching it(^^♪
Assuming that someone like this exists in real life, accepting them as they are is still a good choice. Denying his or her personality is a mistake made by foolish men from the years 1000-2000, and which in some places persists and creates wars around the world, but I think you've understood the importance of accepting characters as they are😊😊
This is the second time I've watched it, and the first time I got as far as episode 28, which was due to my lack of interest in watching anything at the time, as well as not paying attention to the events and feelings of the characters. This time, I'm watching it seriously and it's a lot of fun. Even the mafia characters are cool and have an impact on the story and the characters.
Although there is a lot of information involved, characters and events, personally, it was easy to watch. I didn't get bored, not even with the opening and ending, which are easy to listen to, without overdoing the lyrics or the melody, which, like the anime itself, is engaging.
Conclusion: This anime is practically 10/10. It's perhaps the only anime with so many elements and developments that I've seen so far, not least because of the number of episodes.
I also found it very interesting the way everything happens, and it shows both sides, whoever it is, whatever is relevant will be shown. Protagonist, ex-girlfriend, doctor, psychologist, villain... Whoever it is, everything that's relevant is shown, so you can see that the author is great at filtering out what's important, as well as thinking in an exemplary way, demonstrating that he has a broad vision of everything he's doing.
For me, even today, as I write this review, this is the only anime that really deserves a 10.
Congratulations to everyone who took part, and especially to the author. It really is a great job!
With each episode, everything gets more interesting!!!
The continuous use of the opening from start to finish is really cool!!! Really!
It's not that it has exactly one lyric, but that's why it's so good!!!
The first and second endings are great too!!!
In that OP/ED sense, it was also great for being thematic, but at the same time leaving curiosity in the air.
I particularly like Eva as a character. Even though she's selfish, obsessive and ambitious, she has personality. As I said before, all the characters leave a mark. That's really good.
Although he has flaws, I enjoyed watching Lunge. He's rational and uses logic very well and, although he puts aside himself and his own emotions to live his life as a policeman, in the middle of the story he shows some necessary changes in what he thought about the case he was investigating.
Anna is also very likeable. She's the kind of woman I'd like to have around, whether as a friend or not.
___
About the production itself:
I felt the respect in my skin with the Opening, and the style and care with the features in the 74 episodes! Mad house worked on this anime for a year and a half non-stop, and still delivered a great result! In fact, they did a great job, and as I said earlier, their respect for this work is shown in the Op; ED; features; soundtrack, 3D CGI... In short, everything was done with great care and love! I love that!
I particularly felt like I was watching an anime from the US, not Japan, and that's exactly where it also hooked me even more, as the features are original to the manga, further showing the studio's commitment to Anime!
Dubbing:
The voice actors chosen were veterans of the time who have connections and strengths with mainly foreign dubbing, i.e. not for anime, and this also helped a lot to make this anime feel even more like an American series.
Eva, for example, I really liked how she's a complex woman who changes over the course of the story, and a big part of that is the dubbing. From what I've been able to find out by doing a bit of research, is that in the manga she was more hated than loved, unlike in the anime which has turned out the other way around. (Source: Japanese fans)
⚠⚠⚠⚠ SPOILER ⚠⚠⚠⚠
For me, I don't know what was more unexpected, whether it was Caesar from Planet of the Apes speaking, or Johann dressing up as Anna😂😂
Also, I liked Eva's change of heart 💓.
あと、エヴァの心変わりが好きだな💓
I cried at Grimmer's death...
About the real monster:
Johann really was crazy. But the creators of the 511 for me personally are the real monsters.
Mengele is the name of a man from the past who carried out a past experiment, and it seems that's why two twin brothers are reused in this work.
Johann had no ambition. This is always easy to see when you don't feel any kind of emotion in any of their actions or reactions. On the contrary, it seemed to me that the real "Monster" were those who consciously raised Johann and the others irresponsibly and without a stable plan. In short, Johann became a Monster because of conscious and totally direct actions towards him and the other children, while the men who created the 511 became what they were because of probably poorly formed ancient society and a lack of schooling, a problem that still remains common today in some places. So, a series of events and people who end up meeting in the same place, with the same perspective or something similar, form something "Monstrous", but which, in the end, has no real, achievable goal. They continue to act one step at a time, without realizing their own madness and lack of control and irrationality. A perhaps ridiculous example are the villains in the movie "Stallone Cobra" 😂.
__
In the last episode, Johann asked Dr. Tenma if his mother had decided to save him or his sister. “Was it to protect or not!?”
Well, I'm reading an analysis right now about those final questions he asked Tenma, and I came across things I thought along the same lines. Johann, at that moment, really did seem like a child. And Tenma was at a loss for words, since he knows all about the twin brothers' past...
And to add to “The Real Monster” that I mentioned earlier, everything is based on humans.
This is shown in many works, isn't it? In this case, it was interesting because with the many details and the progression of the story, together with the heavy mistake of not giving the child a pleasant environment and using him as a test object, the uncontrolled complexity of humans with low self-awareness and emotional control became very clear.
In the end, even if only in Dr. Tenma's imagination, Johann was also in need of love, affection and a place to call home. Just like his mother, sister, Eva, Bonaparta and many other characters.
Well, Johann was acting without any real ambition, he just needed to be stopped by someone, just like anyone else who loses their sanity. For the policemen and everyone around them who saw the events unfold, they didn't understand what was going on, even if it was explained at the end, and that's also something that happens a lot.
Regarding Johan's whereabouts after he escaped from the hospital in the last episode:
To me in particular, it seemed that just like at the beginning of the anime, he was awake and heard Dr. Tenma saying about Mother and her having remembered his real name, and so he went to her to find out.
Or... What I also imagine is a possibility that he went back to doing what he did in the past after being saved by Tenma, but his previous goal after several events was to “commit suicide”, so I think that's unlikely.
And in that final scene, it shows the curtain balanced calmly with the clear light of the sun beating down on the calm.
Johann was saved by Tenma's unexpected words, he went and saw his mother. He is no longer a Monster.
He has now regained his proper name, and can go back to being the Johann he was before... Or, in other words, he'll finally be the person with the real name. He's not Johann anymore.
For me, considering all the points mentioned, I consider this anime to be 10/10★.

Devilman’s visuals are one of the best aspects of the series, but in this OVA, they didn’t turn out well. If you saw him in a random image, you wouldn’t even recognize that it’s him.
The soundtrack and voice acting are weak. It was released in the 2000s, and compared to the previous OVA, you can see a big difference in the transition of technology and art style.
It fell short, but it’s understandable.
Story:
It follows the previous OVAs normally, just like Devilman Crybaby, but with some differences, such as the use of psychic powers, which I found interesting. It could have been included in the Netflix adaptation,
...
but they probably followed the original material to the letter. (I’m not sure since I haven’t read the manga yet.)
Even though the design isn’t memorable, as I mentioned earlier, it’s not bad. In fact, it’s darker in a way, but it feels like the typical relaxed design style of that era.
As for the protagonist, just as the title suggests, this film showcases the true strength of "Amon," which is cool. In the Netflix adaptation, they did show this well, but I personally would have liked a bit more. Still, both adaptations are good.
In this version, we actually see "Amon" fully taking over Akira’s body and making it his own.
The ending was interesting, but I'm not going to talk about it because it would be a spoiler... (The music worked a miracle in this ending, at least for me)
In the end, I got to see everything I wanted from the Netflix adaptation, so I’m satisfied. Considering everything I mentioned about the transition between eras, along with the evolution of technology and art style, I give it a 6/10.
And if you look at the page of this OVA, the original material comes from a solo manga, and the ending isn't closed. (Maybe some won't like it...)
Would I recommend it? It depends on you.
Do you want to see something a bit grotesque? Something that modern media doesn’t usually show? Then watch not just this OVA, but the entire old OVA series. I personally enjoyed watching it, but I wouldn’t recommend it for people who are sensitive to heavy or disturbing scenes.

Plot:
I didn't like the fact that Asuka simply got out of bed, and knew exactly where the protagonist was and helped him...
Although at that moment somehow Asuka had become the devil, or he was already inside the body or something, it didn't make sense, since nothing was shown about it, but I ignored the fact.
I'd like at least something to be shown to satisfy this desire to know how it happened.
It could be that I haven't seen it, because the OVAs with a rating below 7 I just ignored, and watched “Devilman The Birth”, and this one. Finally, I'm going to watch “Amon: Devilman
...
Mokushiroku”, but that's beside the point.
Soundtrack:
I love the soundtrack to this movie, which, like the previous OVA “Devilman The Birth”, is provocative and makes you want to follow the fight. I love it
The color palette of that era is always memorable, isn't it?
I like it, but it's just a personal point I'd like to share :)
Conclusion: I gave it a 6. Although I think it could be worth a 7, the plot is a big flaw, and even if you ignore that to like it and watch it, in terms of production, it's still a bit lazy. Or maybe the era...? Things like this used to happen all the time.
I'm particularly fond of Devilman, so if possible, I'd like everything about that series to be made to the highest quality (💖), hence this rating.
** Taking into account the era and what this OVA can convey, I thought about maybe giving it an 8, but I decided that, considering

京本!!!!😭😭😭
Unpredictable story.
I wanted to see more of Fujino's life, but the ending is nice because it shows her suffering and then accepting it and moving on with her life with Kyõmoto in her memories.
That's really beautiful.
The plot was also good. It got a bit confusing at times, but I think it's the way it was chosen that led to it.
The music was good, but I personally miss the instrumental soundtracks in various parts, which in this case were not lost, but could have made a few events a little more striking.
Even so, the ending, with only sound effects, shows Fujino leaving Kyõmoto's room after remembering
...
the moments with her, and shows why she draws and goes back to work as calmly as she did at the beginning when she simply enjoyed spending time doing it.
Overall, it's a great movie. Even though I know it won't, once I've finished writing this review and published it, I'm going to look into a possible sequel or separate material like a manga or something.
Maybe in this one there won't be the famous 4-koma as shown in the anime😂

The character design is excellent. I personally love it.
Even the side characters (MOB) have personality.
The music was really well done. Adding another composer besides Maeda was an interesting choice that I personally appreciated. The additional composer was responsible for creating music for the anime’s rock band, ZHIEND, something Maeda himself likely wouldn’t have delivered as effectively. Maeda tends to focus on a “stable” style of music, which can leave the listener feeling slightly uneasy due to its consistency and constant rhythm. This can also be challenging for the singers performing his songs. On the other hand, the music for ZHIEND was composed instrumentally by Hikarisyuyo,
...
who did an excellent job creating a more dynamic sound that truly brought out the essence of post-rock.
I deeply respect Maeda’s work, but he wouldn’t have been able to achieve what Hikarisyuyo did. Delegating this task was a brilliant decision.
That said, Maeda still wrote the lyrics for ZHIEND’s songs, and there’s nothing to criticize in that regard—he’s great at what he does.
Beyond the band’s music, Maeda himself composed the entire soundtrack with the assistance of the group known as ANANT-GARDE EYES, who, as far as I know, are involved in almost all his musical projects. Their contributions truly make a difference.
The process typically involves Maeda creating the demo version (just the instrumental), writing the lyrics, and then ANANT-GARDE EYES arranging the music. This is what truly brings Maeda’s compositions to life. Without an arranger, Maeda’s music feels incomplete, so their role was significant here. As mentioned, the instrumental OST was impactful, as were the sound effects.
The ending might not have been satisfying for some, and I won’t dive into details to avoid spoilers. I hope you can watch it without knowing too much beforehand.
This anime left a mark on me during my teenage years. It introduced me to perspectives I had never considered. This makes sense, as shounen stories in Japan often aim to do just that—the primary audience is teenagers and young adults, who have more free time to watch due to not yet working full-time or only doing part-time jobs (baito). Additionally, this demographic is easier to please and contributes significantly to streaming revenue.
To wrap up, while the ending may not have pleased everyone, I personally found it good. There wasn’t much else to show because...
Finally, I want to talk about the overall work, managed by the author. To cut to the chase, he's bad. He just does the basics. Nothing more, nothing less.
The way the anime has gone downhill in the last 3 episodes is the fault of Maeda, who is not good at writing anime scripts (only in games does he do well), and combining that with the director's very poor work, it's not an anime I can recommend...
The songs are good (although the English version by the band Zhiend has extremely bad pronunciation!).
The first 3 episodes were the peak, and from then on until episode 8 it continues well with ups and downs, but overall, still stable, and it still continues well in a way in episode 9, but it stops there. Therefore, even though the script is poorly constructed from episode 10 onwards, which has a considerable drop, the director's work left a lot to be desired, and with more frequent participation within the studio it could have generated a much better result.
I've said a lot about it, but just for the record (I'm not defending or going back on what I said), this was the first anime he worked on as a director. It's acceptable, but as a professional, I would at least demand more effort to study case by case what to do to contribute to each sector, whether it's the drawings and frames, music, or script and plot, you can see a clear lack of skill and competence.
It could be that he had personal problems, or not enough time to work on this anime... I don't know what's going on in his life, but that's what I thought while I was watching it.
That said, I really liked the character design, and I would have liked to have seen more of Miya and her friends, beyond the drama shown in episode 3.
Rating: 7/10
I particularly like the characters, the sound effects and the soundtrack (the songs are good, but I'm also referring to the instrumental soundtrack, which is not of the cinematic genre, but still manages to thrill).
(⚠⚠⚠ DO NOT READ BELOW IF YOU WISH TO AVOID SPOILERS!! ⚠⚠⚠)
The leader of the organization aiming to exploit the abilities of young people had gathered their memories, powers, and ambitions to weaponize them against the rest of the world. There were still other organizations, but they seemed less serious in comparison. These groups appeared to focus more on using the youths for internal conflicts or future wars when their abilities matured, as these powers are a symptom of youth.
Regardless, this type of ending doesn’t appeal to the majority, so I’ll classify it as “mixed feelings” and leave the recommendation up to you. Whether you like it or not is entirely your choice.

The emotional and psychological shifts were amazing, just like in the first season. Truly, truly incredible. I could feel what the characters were feeling and thinking as if it were my own skin.
Canute made a cold choice by killing his brother to gain more power, and then using that power to instill fear wherever he went, aiming to create the ideal world he envisioned. Unfortunately for him, he lost his strong and kind brother, which I personally think is a real shame, truly…
His brother, who governed over Germany, was strong and kind. Because of that, it was possible to have a conversation and reach an
...
agreement, which Canute only realized later, after reuniting with Thorfinn and understanding the ideal world that Thorfinn envisioned. It was as simple as Canute had once thought when he was younger, and completely opposite to the path he had been following to achieve his goals up to that point.
Canute became cold and very powerful, but personally, I think it was a narrow vision. As I just mentioned, the connection with his brother could have led them to unite and create a better world together.
Suppose his brother was unwilling to listen and was just another common war-loving figure of that era. In that case, killing him as Canute did might have been the right choice. After all, Canute's ideal world would have taken much longer to realize, considering Germany's great military strength. Having an enemy of that caliber would have been far too risky.
Even so, I believe we humans can be much better.
It's impossible to be perfect, but we can come close. Thors shows us how to avoid losing to ourselves, by not letting anger or fear take control and make us lose our way. Of course, there are other things to learn to come close to becoming the best version of ourselves, but I feel that by watching Vinland Saga, I found the answer I was looking for—why not to attack someone.
Even though I already knew killing made no sense, this simple yet complete thought was exactly what I was searching for.
Be that as it may, Canute was able to meet Thorfinn and change. At this point, I’m proud of him!
At the end of the day, the remaining ormals working on the farm were incredibly lovely 💖.
What can I say to convey this adorable feeling...
I really want Ormar to be happy!
The reunion with Tolfin and his family was very touching...
When was the last time you watched an anime that made you cry...
After Tolfin told us all about what happened since the day of his death from Tolls in episode 24,
After Tolfin told her everything that had happened since the day of her death from Tolls in episode 24, she showed the same look as the day Tolls didn't give her daughter a name, and encouraged her by saying “Go ahead”, and then gave her a stern look and pushed her back again.......it was super impressive....
Thank you so much to the creator of this work. Truly.
And many thanks to all the staff at the company that distributes the manga and the animation.I feel like I’ve learned one of the most important steps to becoming a better human being.

Jun Maeda has done it again! He's created another story of youth and strong feelings that will tug at your heartstrings.
I'd give it a solid 7.5! The story is really lovely. It might feel a little empty at first, but that's just because you're waiting for the characters to get along! And as you watch, you'll find yourself wanting to keep watching to see how it all plays out.
The soundtrack is just perfect for the anime! It has that youthful drama vibe that really delivers what the anime needs. I just have to say, Daamae did a truly amazing job!
I'm a huge fan of Jun
...
Maeda, and I love that he was part of the team as a composer in the creation of this anime. He also wrote the original story for the visual novel game, which I think is really cool.
It's so great that I can watch another one of his anime with a soundtrack he created!
I'd give it an 8 out of 10 just for the sheer joy of seeing the characters' expressions and listening to the music. Naga was and still is working on the design of the characters for the Daamae characters, which was really helpful. But honestly, he can draw the most perfect expressions for each character! The J.C. Staff studio also had the best animators who delivered the same lines to Naga. That's what I call professional!
Conclusion: I recommend this anime. It's not for adults, but it's very nice. The creator is Jun Maeda. He likes to write about young characters. This is a story I recommend watching unless you're looking for something more adult.
Just a quick additional note: the creator of this anime is Jun Maeda (as I said before), and he only creates stories with young characters to show how exciting and remarkable youth can be. That's why I said earlier that UNLESS you're looking for a Seinen Anime, this is definitely a story I recommend watching!

I wasn't expecting this at first.
A 32 year old guy protagonist, yeah right!
Even though he's not cool, he never gives up!
I mean, he can't work that hard after he's over 30, so it's really amazing!
My 23 year old brother knows exactly how that feels!
It's so funny!
It's grotesque, it's serious, and most of all, it's hilarious!
And most of all, it's hilarious!
...
Everyone has a good sense of humor.
And the rhythm of the laughter is also very good 👌.
I'm not going to spoil the story for you.
I'll give you a brief description.
The main character is chasing his dream.
No way! happens
And while searching for the truth
while seeking the truth of the situation.
And there is also a bond between friends.
It's a bit like Naruto, which I used to watch a long time ago (the part where you care about your friends).
The monster that came into Kafka and the monster No. 9 are totally different...?
Is it asking humans for help, or is it trying to destroy them...?
I think my favorite so far is Leno.
He loves his senpai so much, he's so cute!
A sequel is in the works!
Of course I thought so, but please give me a concrete date when it will be done.
Well, I'll just have to wait and look forward to it.
Also, the OPED fits well with the anime.
It's good.
If you want to enjoy both action and youth
I recommend this anime!
Thank you for reading!

This is not an anime for the faint of heart. I don't think I'm strong myself, but I can handle it well, and I can say that even for the time of the original material, which was released from 1972 to 1973, then before and from that time itself the whole world did not give children the knowledge; education to become civilized people; and not even a good preparation not only academically but also personally that would make them become more HUMAN people...
As for other details besides the message it wants to convey, as I mentioned above, since it's Netflix, they must have spent a
...
lot of money, so things like the number of frames seemed higher than that of an ordinary Japanese anime (despite the lack of quality in most of the frames, the number still covered that and made it interesting), as well as the effort they asked of the music composer when creating so many songs for several different scenarios, leaving the anime with a different perception in each episode.
Especially the last two episodes were emotional in many ways...
I wish there were more scenes like those in the last two episodes, but the author's message and thoughts wouldn't have been fully conveyed if there were, so I think the script was really well done as well.
If you're thinking of watching it, I recommend that you prepare yourself and watch it with an open mind, not getting carried away by what's happening, but rather watching it with an open mind and understanding the feelings and ideas conveyed throughout the anime.
Thanks for reading this far, and have a good marathon! ✨✨
