This manga is a very enjoyable read. It is hilarious, the characters are loveable, and the relationship dynamic between the two lead characters is very healthy. Also, the romance is not dangled over our heads for 6 volumes before they get together, this is not a problem for this piece.
The characters have great chemistry and fit within the story nicely. There sadly is a sister complex but it gives reasoning later in the manga why he clings to her so tightly.

The setting that this takes place in and the plot are super interesting. The fact that these two were super unlikely to have interacted under normal circumstances made their relationship more interesting in my opinion. I also really appreciated the writers being able to have their main focus of the story and be able to casually involve their developing relationship. It was able to multitask. There also was no dramatic or fetishization in the representation of this relationship. I did however feel like they ended the series without bringing proper closure and that there were some plot aspects that left people wondering.

Was not bad at all. The different types of quirks in the show are super cool. The main character is certainly the underdog, which I love to root for. He seemed like a down to earth and kind young man. He was a character that I knew that I was going to like. The plot was interesting enough and the execution of it was pretty good. I would not really see that much that would set it apart from other series but certainly was a solid first season to the show.
I do recommend that people at least give this show a chance before judging it ...

This show was alright. It did not really stand out to me at all. The stories within the show do not always seem cohesive and bounce around. The backstory of Ciel is tragic which definitely makes you want to empathize with him and both of the main characters are super interesting. The ending in my opinion was super lackluster and very predictable. I heard such great things about this show and came out feeling kind of meh about it.

I thought that the plot point was super interesting as I have not seen any plot like it before. I just thought the concept sounded so cool and they executed it pretty well. It is a story that involves allowing yourself to be vulnerable with others, making the best out of situations, learning to become friends with people you never would have expected, etc.
There were the little bits of romance that I felt at times detracted from the center of the story (or maybe just what I wanted the story to solely focus on). Besides that flaw, I thought that this show overall was really ...

This was a very strategic anime. It was a great psychological thriller with very intelligent characters. It was cool to see the battle of wits in nail-biting suspense. The potato chip scene will never fail to make me laugh. This anime also pokes holes into the watchers' psych and see how they would react under the same circumstances and whether or not the means justify the ends.
I absolutely adored L's character and how witty he was. He is certainly eccentric but that is what makes him who he is. Light was so good with his disguise and kept up his persona so well and ...

There were certainly tropes and stereotypes in this anime that I hated. I also disliked the Usui's handling of the child who crossdresses. One of their first interactions and he is on top of them. I looked up the age difference and it was uncomfortable.
Besides those small parts I really enjoyed the show. I have never watched a show before this that had maid cafes as part of the theme but I overall enjoyed it. They had a pretty good relationship (of course some toxic traits like all people), but it is a shame that there is only one season because their story together ...

I was super touched by this anime. It shows what it is like to learn how to be a single dad while not having any experience with children whatsoever. He really looked out for this child and truly had her best interests at heart. It had great writing and great characters. The show definitely could have been longer for sure but that is the only complaint that I do have. They could have gone into like you know the full journey of raising this young girl into the woman that she is going to become. I love the tree part of the story, it is

I personally think that people are a little bit too harsh on this season. I personally liked that they delved into more personal aspects, the dynamics of characters, and the backstories of the characters. I agree that there could have been more of the supporting cast but also this season really honed in on our main characters and then some new villains which is also a fair way to write the story.
I however hate how much was squeezed into the last episode. It was all over the place and they tried to do way too much. Adding an extra episode or two would have ...

I love this show a lot. I like that there is a show that involves cooking. I also like the fact that Souma is the underdog of the school and that at first, no one takes him seriously. He is a character that is not overpowered and does have to grow, experiment, and work through things. I do agree that the clothes coming off makes me uncomfortable but I was able to look beyond that and really enjoy this show.
I also like how detailed they are about the cooking, techniques, and the dishes themselves. They take in factors like taste, balance, preparation, aesthetics, aroma, ... |
