...then you might like Seikaisuru Kado add

Both are sci-fi original anime which include white collar workers dealing with new innovations, research, politics/economy. Both are also somewhat misleading in what they end up being: Classroom Crisis' first episode looks like an average cliché Sci-Fi action high school teenager you-can-do-the-impossible-if-you-only-want plot convenience story only to walk away from that considerably to almost completely by the second episode. Kado completely walks away from its build up by the last 2-3 episodes into a you-can-do-the-impossible-if-you-only-want plot convenience story.

...then you might like Eureka Seven AO add

- Same Studio Bones - Director Kyouda Tomoki directed all of the E7 franchise and the Rahxephon Movie (being a summary movie to the TV show with alternate ending, which is a bit more grounded and less "esotheric-mysterious" than the main show) - elaborate mecha designs in both shows - near future Science Fiction - both contain episodes about identity/trauma issues, which slightly step out of line as they have more of a tone of dementia/mindfuck compared to the other episodes - main character share the common theme of finding a place where to belong, after loosing their initial home, which however didn't really feel like a true home - both literally rewrite the whole world - time is not so really linear and does not pass the same for everybody - main characters are the only ones capable of moving a certain special mecha due to alien heritage - main characters are pretty responsible given they are only teenagers

...then you might like Doraemon (2005) add

- Gintama makes quite some Doraemon allusions and parodies. There are obvious ones and less obvious ones - While the vast majority of Doraemon episodes consist of very short gag stories, there are occasionally also ones, which fall out of the usual typical-traditional-Doraemon formula. These are sometimes itself parodies, absolutely totally absurdly over the top, have Sci-Fi, Fantasy and occasionally even Adventure and Action elements and more than just once a quite touching part to it, just as many Gintama episodes have as well.

Similiar setting, both are mainly slice of life science fiction tales in space and have a quite similiar through provoking kind of narrative styles.

...then you might like Psycho-Pass add

"Gore", that is presented as some kind of beauty is an recurring theme in Mouryo no Hako and also in at least one of the cases of Psycho Pass. The presentation of a young female infatuated with another is also somewhat reminiscent of Mouryo no Hako. The idea of trying to understand the culprits mindset or else the one trying will get dragged down the abyss towards craziness is also present in both, through in Mouryo no Hako not as strong a topic as in Psycho Pass.

...then you might like Blood Alone add

The plot has not much (if nothing) in common, but to me, the narrative seems quite similiar. Like these little stories, often 100% slice of life amidst the main Plot, which however give space to character development and exploring them further in dept. Hence the overall atmosphere seems to go sort of the same direction, through Blood Alone seems (yet? I have read 6 vols) much more "cosy".

If you liked Furusato Japan add

...then you might like 8-gatsu no Symphony: Shibuya 2002-2003 add

Both have a very realistical flair about themselves, and rather realistical character designs. Music also an important component in both titles. In 8-gatsu it's rather modern and put more into focus, while in Furusato Japan it is supporting the the piece more from the background, in a subtle methaphor guding the plot.

Both series are widely considered "very confusing". Little Queen jumps between flashbacks and flashforwards, Arcanas jumps forth and back in a similiar manner. Both are fantasy, through Arcana is a bit more towards the direction of high-fantasy with its elfs and dragon races.

"Time" is a key topic in both titles, through less directly in Little Queen at first. They both also share the not too typical sort of ambiguous romance relationship, with a quite similiar sort of atmosphere.

Facepalming the end of the Gundam Movie? It however even pales in comparison to the end of Eureka 7. Aside from that both are mecha, include alien forms and a central topic is "understanding each other".

Lunge/Runge from Monster and Javert from Shoujo Cosette are bot policemen, with an obstinate want to arrest the male protagonist and cause all sorts of trouble to them. They also both have narrowed world views, which change by the end.

Anne and Cosette both have a miserable childhood, full of harship and work. Still they can take delight in some little things to lighten of their misery and keep themselves somewhat optimistic. Both are also part World's Masterpiece Series.

Both are about the struggles and miseries of poor children. Both are cruel and merciless in showing just how miserable and unthankful life can be.

A certain dog is rather similiar to a certain cat, both are despairing over their apprentices. Kobato and Misha share a quite similiar personality, both are clumsy but honestly hard-trying and have the task to help people (make them happy) and have to face the same punishment in case they fail.

These two series have nothing in common in their plots nor their artwork, but if you have read one series through to the end and found interest in the "circle of events" shown finally you may like the other, too.

...then you might like Heartcatch Precure! add

For one point the character design is a obvious similiarity between both, but not quite the only one. Heartcatch Pretty Cure usually has its quite episodic scheme of having a light focus on a character somewhat close to the main characters, or whom they meet. These characters have troubles, hence get there withering "Heart flowers" stolen and transform into monsters, whose probably one special aspect is that they are now able to freely outspeak their trouble. Doing so, having sometimes the source of their trouble hear that (and with a bit help of the Cures purifying magic of course) their trouble get in some way or another solved (or ceases to be the big problem of before). Ojamajo Doremi Naisho is a chain of loose short stories, set between the third and forth season of the parent story. (Knowledge of the parent story is not 100% nescessary. I only watched the first two seasons and about half a dozen of the other two and that was plenty enough.) Ojamajo Doremi has 5 female "witch novice" protagonists. Quite as like in Heartcatch Pretty Cure, each episode has a focus on other characters in the vicinity of the protagonists or on one of whom they meet. These character have about quite similiar problems as in Heartcatch Pretty Cure and (sometimes with a little help of their magic) help these characters to solve their problems. Ojamajo Doremi Naisho, however, deals with the problems in a more serious and realistic manner. Magic is an important part in its parent story, but plays a rather minor role in Naisho (and the movie). In Ojamajo Doremi Naisho people generally solve their problems by themselve or with help of an advice (sometimes given by one of the main characters who only used their magic to change their appearance to disguise themselves.) This and the fact that some of the problems dealt with are quite more serious than in Heartcatch Pretty Cure, makes in my humble opinion, Ojamajo Doremi Naisho more mature and serious than Heartcatch Pretty Cure, and about most of the typical Magical Girl titles. Technically looking both series have a strikingly similiar character design, which is not really surprising. The Ojamajo Doremi Franchise is pretty much the second big sister franchise of the Pretty Cure Franchise (as between the Ojamajo Doremi Series and the Pretty Cure Series was Ashita no Nadja). Hence technically Heartcatch Pretty Cure is superior, through Ojamajo Doremi Naisho is not this bad either. Another point may be the voice cast. Ojamajo Doremi's protagonist have voices trimmed to be childisch (which gets on the nerves sometimes), while Heartcatch Pretty Cure has not. Through the side characters of Ojamajo Doremi Naisho, on whom the focus is actuall on, don't have this problem. Conclusivesly, having watched Ojamajo Doremi Naisho first I was really hoping Heart Catch Pretty Cure to be its worthy successor. Successor it is, through perhaps not yet worthy. For all who like Heartcatch Pretty cure, I really recommend its "bigger sister".

Both are from the same author. They share a similiar sort of setting, as both are set in a fantasy world where magic exists, but not all are able to use it. They have both the same style of humour, in which the series occasionally does not take itself all too seriously. Especially do have Velotte from Platina and June from Girl Queen/Little Queen some strikinng resemblances in their character. The plots are diffrent, but some of the narrating style is pretty similiar, too.
