This season is every bit as enjoyable as the first two, for me. I like pretty much every character and really have fun watching this series. If you're expecting any huge character/relationship developments to happen in this season, they really don't.. and it's really frustrating.. though there's a little. But if you have fun watching the show, this is still definitely worth it. Maybe spoiler-sh ahead? idk but if there's a 4th season they better not keep dragging out this whole thing with Misaki acting like Usagi is just the perverted roommate most of the time or whatever. As always very cute art though not
...
the best attention to detail, decent music, pretty good voice acting, and as always, great if you don't want something with tons of plot and character development but a generally light-hearted slice of life/romance and very fun watch.

First off, let me say this is FICTION. It is free to be over dramatic, sappy, and unrealistic. That is part of what makes fiction so enjoyable-- it's not something we see everyday. Some of the characters do cry in situations a lot of people, especially males, probably wouldn't actually cry about in real life, which you see in the first episode. And since I'm not a guy or a gay guy, I guess I can't really have an opinion on how boyish or girly the guys in this are, but generally I don't think they're too feminine, and I don't think it even matters
...
either way. There ARE quite a few gay characters in this that are all connected in some way, which I can see is unrealistic, but again, it's fiction, and I want to add that a lot of them do go through trouble accepting their feelings toward another guy or acting embarrassed when they're saying something romantic. But, this doesn't focus much on them accepting their sexuality. It doesn't totally ignore it like everybody's gay and it's super acceptable, either. Anyway...
This anime makes me so happy when I watch it. It may not be genius writing or anything, but I don't care. It's sweet, adorable, hilarious, and fun to watch. If the borderline harassment doesn't bother you too much (a certain character is pretty inappropriate with his touching, especially at first, though they go into that later and explain how they both actually feel about it. Also he's my absolute favorite character despite him acting like that) you might grow to adore the characters as much as I do.
If you're wondering if this is a soft shonen ai or a yaoi, it's definitely a shonen ai with some short sex scenes that don't actually show anything. And it may not have a deeper plot to it, but that's because the story is just about their day to day lives and watching the characters and their relationships grow bit by bit. If you love slice of life, romance, and comedy, this anime is really great.

Okay, so a simple review:
This show can be pretty ridiculous, unrealistic, and cringe-y (the opening theme and the fact that the title logo says "boys love hyper," or that they go to BL Academy, lmao)... but it's also pretty hilarious at times, has pretty animation, really enjoyable characters, and a decent story, in my opinion. If you're looking for obvious romance throughout the whole thing, this isn't like that. (Does that count as a sort of spoiler???... not sure). But it's very much a romance, it just takes more building up than something like Junjou Romantica, and it's tons lighter. The show also might not
...
be amazing or very long, but it's definitely worth watching if you're interested in romance (between boys obviously) with a bit of mysterious, though maybe predictable, plot, comedy, beautiful characters, and cute moments.

There are some really vicious reviews here but I found this anime really enjoyable, and not just because I have an affinity for shonen ai. (some light spoilers in the character section).
Art - While the art is pretty simple, and sometimes their proportions are off, I think the characters are really cute, and the females are adorable too.
Sound - uhh, well the Japanese dubbing is good. I love Usami/Usagi's voice. And the opening themes are pretty good.
Characters - I found all of them really enjoyable, especially Usagi and Misaki, though they both have their flaws. Nearly every main character and side character is enjoyable
...
to watch, though. If you haven't seen any seasons of this show, skip the rest of this part.............. Anyone who's watched at least one season knows how Usagi is quite forceful about his affection to Misaki. I see how this is sketchy, but remember this attitude is really popular in this genre for some reason, maybe stemming from the idea that women have fantasies about take-charge men? (and the genre is generally written for females) idk..........but we know it's not okay in real life. If it bothers you too much, you probably didn't finish season 1. We also know Misaki does like him and said himself that he'd try harder to stop him if he didn't actually want it. This is also gets annoying on HIS part, though, how often he acts like he doesn't like him. But they're still both adorable, especially Usagi's romantic side. Nowaki and Hiroki always seem to have their frustrating problems, but they're still enjoyable, too.
Enjoyment - This series is hilarious and super freaking cute (and sometimes steamy) if you like romance and anime boys being together. I personally find the drama enjoyable too because I like some angst in my shows, and I don't expect it to be super realistic, since it's fiction. Anyways, all in all I found this series really fun to watch so far. The story may not be genius or super realistic, but it's still good, cute, and funny. 8/10. The most annoying thing through a lot of this series is Misaki still acting like nothing is going on and acting like Usagi is a weird pervert.

I seem to be the odd one here, especially because I LOVED season 2 even though it's not canon, but OVAs just for silliness aren't really my thing.. I watched these because Netflix had them tacked onto the second season, and I personally found most of them a tad boring/too ridiculous.. That's just me, but yeah-- if you're wondering if these are just for comedy and silliness, they are. I honestly can't remember the Wonderland episodes much besides one awkward scene and Grell being the Cheshire Cat. I know I wasn't too entertained by them though. "Welcome to the Phantomhive's" puts the viewer in

the show, like the characters are talking directly to you, which, to me, felt kind of odd and cringy when not actually playing a video game. The "Making Of" episode is in a documentary style, interviewing the characters as if they're just actors playing the roles of the story. I didn't care for it, but it might be amusing for you, if you like that sort of thing. The episode about the reapers ("The Tale of William") was probably the best for me. I always enjoy Grell and if you do too, watch that one at least. :) I know this review is simple; sorry if it's not helpful for you.
