This anime follows the journey of Balsa, she is a spear wielder who has her own unfortunate history which brings about how she deals with a situation where she is asked to look after a child. You follow the journey of Balsa and this child, seeing both characters blossom and by the end of the series, you are satisfied with the magnificent ending, one of which most animes do a poor job of doing and it really does make you feel like you have wasted your time watching it.

So I am going to be quite kind to this anime but really you need to end up reading the manga as it really leaves a big gap, it just randomly stops.
However, the premise of the story is, this young lad gets some weird power. He then goes to prison for something he didn't do and finds out this prison is completely nuts. By the ending, he doesn't find the 'red man' and he only just manages to do a pretty amazing move. The major let down for this anime is purely that it doesn't continue to a proper ending. Initially, I didn't think much of this, wasn't a huge fan of the random blood out of eyes thing that happens with this blue flame business but I decided to watch the entire first episode and then I thought, actually this has substance.
So without giving anything away, the protagonist of the show always seems to be angry and he doesn't quite understand why himself. He has a brother who the two of them whilst respectful of each other seem to have some rooted problem. For me, who recently just got into Anime itself and decided to go for the Ecchi type of anime for a while ... |
