Something to do with Sengoku era ? - I'm on it!
I know that this manga is based on an otome game, and I did not have any expectations from it since the beginning, but cute guys, so...still reading it!!! This one seems to be taking an example (and not only) from Hakuouki series. Even the character design is similar. But that is not the point. This manga is the third one that I have read that actually went with - let's chose a male that the heroine will end up with - approach. I like it.

Oh how I love this one! I first started it just because I had nothing to read and it just popped at the top of the list. I fell in love with it on the first page. I spent 35 hours straight reading it. The story captivated me.
The artwork - I did not enjoy it at first because it somehow reminded me Chinese style (I base this on those 3 Chinese mangas I have read), but, as I have reread this one for at least 7 times, I absolutely love the art style, it's not the best one there is, but it just fits ...

As I am a very visual person the art style pulled me into this one. The plot was very good at the beginning, but then it somehow got all predictable. I know that most shojo mangas are the same 10 stories, but still. I wanted the story to be as shiny as the artwork itself.
I waited for every new chapter until it was finished and I did enjoy the cheesiness of it. There were moments when even I was invested in the developments, but those were small moments in comparison to the whole story. Last chapters were somewhat disappointing, I wanted something more. ... |
