The setting in both includes wealthy cities surrounded by poor areas, in the future. Both have 2 male leads who are friends, and are in trouble with the authorities from the cities, so they are hiding out in the ghetto. Innocent Venus is a bit more action-filled. Both have nice animation and are quite short.

If you liked Vampire Knight add

...then you might like Shinrei Tantei Yakumo add

The two main characters of STY are similar to Yuki and Zero of Vampire Knight. The dark atmosphere is the same, and while one show is about vampires, the other is about ghosts.

If you liked Innocent Venus add

...then you might like Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch add

Innocent Venus and Code Geass share many similarities. Both have a dystopian future where terrorists try to resist an oppressive ruling class. Both have mechas but are not traditional 'mecha animes' - neither treats mecha battles as the main focus. Lelouch and Suzaku of Code Geass are somewhat similar to Jin and Jo of Innocent Venus, respectively, though their adventures are fairly different. (But all of them are really pretty to look at ;-)) Both animes also involve a mysterious girl who is being chased by the government for a reason that is not revealed until later. Both have tons of action and interesting characters, twists and turns and mysteries. If you like one of these awesome series you will probably like the other.

If you liked Byousoku 5 Centimeter add

...then you might like Fuyu no Sonata add

Both animes have a melancholy romantic feeling. Both follow a pair of childhood friends into adulthood and show the distance between them.
