Been generic and badly drawn is not a sin on it self, many animes are like that and still entertaining. With interesting characters and story the show can offset its flaws on other areas, which is not the case here. Tensei Kizoku is as generic as it can be with as minimun animation as they can get away with and have an absurd amount of reaction shots with no movement at all, every sentence has someone going "OHHHHHH" for no reason. Most of the runtime is dedicated to people talking about what's happening in the scene. The rest of the time is people waiting patiently for the opponent to recite long spells. The action is basically still frames with some basic movement here and there. Nothing makes sense with really dumb dialogue. But if you just turn off your brain and let it go you may have fun. It's a little guilt pleasure for most viewers and it's so strong you can almost taste the 80's on it, a helluva lot of 80's metal music reference. In general I would recommend ...

I start to think that chinese people (at least in anime industry) really hate women, it doesn't matter how strong they "say" a female character is at some point she will be for some dumb reason a damsel in distress or something like.
Anyway, the anime itself has a great visual which is common for chinese anime in general and the story is basically the same as all they usually do, OP MC that nobody knows about kicks everyones ass. There is 0 character development for everyone, 0 progression on the main plot itself (if there is one). The comedy is mostly bad, probably chinese culture ...

It's like a train crash, bad but it's kinda hard to avoid your eyes once you see. I mean, it's enjoyable at least until Cap. Mismis enters the scene, OMG WTF is that character?! If the show is serious how the hell she got to be a captain, and if it's a joke why does it try so hard?! Mismis always almost makes me rage quit!
The rest of the chars are OK, nothing that bad but nothing impressive either. Male MC has a Kirito vibe, fairly common nowadays. Female MC I can't put my finger on it, but I'm quite sure I saw it before. Anymay, ... |
