Every couple of months my rating for this anime drops. A couple of years ago I thought this anime was awesome but now its just empty space. This anime is just a time waster. It has taken 310 episodes to complete the story (if it really is completed). That is simply way too long. This entire series is just a giant tease. The battles that are boring and involve no one particularly interesting last 5 episodes. And the really epic battles that the entire series builds up to last 1. Not to mention the ridiculous amount of filler.
Also the story makes no sense whatsoever.

After watching hundreds of hours of filler anime this one is a real breath of fresh air. In 25 minutes this anime managed to grab me and hit me in my soft parts. This anime proves that you don't need 24 episodes to tell a story. This anime is simple (just a story of two lonely people in love) but it's told in such a way really sucks you in right from the start. There are definitely no extraneous plots. They cut everything out but exactly what you need to know. They don't explain a lot of what's going on but that ok because it

*I tried to be very vague but there might be subtle spoilers.
I don't believe that this anime deserves all of the praise that it has been getting from all of these reviews. So I have decided to right one myself. First, I would like to say that this is not a bad anime it's just not a great anime. Yes, the mystery in this anime is good. Some of the episodes blew my mind when I found out parts of the whole story. But I have to say that the characters are really thin and not convincing. At first it didn't matter as much because the ... Feb 3, 2011

I very rarely give an anime a 10 but this one really deserves it. This is one of the few animes where I start off not liking a character but by the end I am in love with them. Not only is this anime one of the most beautiful animes that I have seen in a while but it has some of the best character development and some of the most heart wrenching moments that I have ever experienced in an anime. I'm not one to often shed a tear but it was hard for me to keep from bawling at the end of this

Really quite a wonderful anime. Most notably is the art style, it is so colorful and gorgeous that you can't stop from being encapsulated by it. The sound is very interesting as well, it mixes a slow ambiance with exciting techno. I can guarantee you that this is definitely not an anime that you have seen before..
The art style is beautiful, the sound is breath taking, and the story is heart wrenching. I would definitely say that this is a must see anime. It's really something extraordinary. Dec 24, 2010

This is not the typical anime that I usually watch. If I saw myself watching this 2 years ago I would be pretty embarrassed. But as it happens I came across this anime while watching TVTokyo at 4 in the morning waiting for Bleach to come on. At first I thought it was ridiculous but it really got me hooked. This series is not like any soccer anime you might have seen before. It is over the top, most the characters develop super powers (but only when they play soccer), and often times they just throw the actual rules of soccer out the window. But

This is a truly great anime. It captures a serene and calming vibe that I have never seen in anything else. The stories are so well written and timed that they become encapsulating. Each episode is different and independent so you can pick up the anime or drop it at any point but I doubt that after you watch the first couple episodes you will want to stop.
This anime creates a whole environment that brings you into the world. The music, characters, and story have a way of making you feel exactly what the characters are feeling. Most of the time you feel isolated as ... Jul 24, 2010

At first I thought that this anime would be a little too kiddy for me. I generally like darker animes with deep themes but this anime ended up being a really refreshing break. Sure the storyline is a little thin and sometimes the characters don't make any sense but that's not why you watch this anime. It's really light hearted and fun. Also trying to figure out the puzzles in the anime is really fun. The next OVA gets a little slow during the end but I had a blast watching this one. I would recommend it to everyone. The characters are interesting and fun,

This was one of those series that I was lucky enough to stumble upon. The story in this series is so creative and gripping and the character motivations are very accurate. At first I didn't really feel that the characters were very believable but as the series progresses they reveal motivations that make the series very thought provoking.
I've noticed that other raters have given this series a bad rating but I encourage people to stick it out to the end because this series has one of my favorite endings in anime that was really deep and cool. It really makes a profound statement at the ... Jun 28, 2010

I would have to say that overall this series was pretty good. Throughout the series there were a couple times when I thought that the series lulled but then there were many times as well where I felt an actual emotional attachment to the characters.
One issue I did have was that the logic of the characters became really unbelievable towards the end. Even with the fact that these characters are severely psychologically damaged, sometimes the characters motivation doesn't make sense at all and is completely unbelievable. Like I said though, overall the series was good. The action was intense, the story was exciting with a couple ... |
