I have beef with this show bruh.
My mother is a seamstress and that job is hard. The back pain from being on the machine all day the hip pain from the pedals. Momma would bring these women over for fittings all the time, sometimes even poking them needles and these are paying costumers, let alone getting those costumes for free. Everyone knows this job is SO much easier with 2 people lift it up, twist it, model it, cut loose ends, why aren't those girls in there with him, for hours and hours being bossed around by him? on a platter. Plus they never mention the costumes being itchy on the inside or having loose ends. That means this mofo not only making these costumes but he is patching and padding them on the inside, he is making them like regular dresses you are supposed to wear out.
The worst offender of all, momma grew up during Hoxha's communist Albania and they had better machine in the sweatshop she worked at than his machine. If you had to work on his machine for half an hour you would throw that junk on her FACE, his machine couldn't sew 2 post it notes together. Then they show him using the school sewing machine for better results. Bruh that school machine was still trash, garbagio my dude. Momma got that SINGER 2000$ that shit looks like a microscope my dude, 30 threads a second, it sounds like a machine gun, tatatata, and that job is still hard even with the best equipment. His machine was making 1 thread every 2 seconds. He might as well had hand-stitch them.
Another thing. The protagonist needs some attitude, this line of work will give you an attitude whether you like it or not. This whole subplot of the cosplayer going to the cops about perving yata yata. Just overcharge her bro. You want a costume? Of course I'll make it, 600$ or go to Don Quixote. Are you starting to understand me? Because this job is sO draining, you constantly find a way to make the most money you can for the least hours possible. You can't work 60 hours a week as a seamstress it's impossible you will get sick you need to work smarter. They should have shown minimum his vision deteriorating even in that short amount of time.
Also cutting corners the maid costume, they could have bought a regular maid outfit and added all the details of the character she is cosplaying.

This is has a very cathartic ending, dealing with your past. I really liked that.
But the story is super unrealistic, it really doesn't make any sense many times. The plot holes are huge. But i understand what the author wanted to say. You have take it with a grain of salt. This is the type of story that the author wants to be, if you dont try to make a lot of sense of it, you'll enjoy it very much and give it a 9/10. But if you like realism this will be a 5/10 for you. This borrows a lot from onanie master kurosawa which is the better story out of the two. But makes it more modern and stylized, it adds elements such as echhi manga and more depressing love stories. Unlike Kurosawa which the bullying was the main focus, this story focuses a lot more on the romance. What made me lose immersion over and over again was : after all this shit and they still are attracted to each other. I know in real life many relationships that have ended for much less, the author really pushes it.
For the sake of realism, tokigawa should have broken up with kasuga before the nakamura meeting. Thats just me. I thought it was realy unrealistic and the fist fight they had and the travel, this tokigawa girl is so extremly ride or die for really no reason.
Kasuga, i found it super annoying the first half that he couldnt utter a word, he could barely put together a setence, like come on just say anything that isnt sorry.
Nakamura, i would love if there was a conclusion or goal or ending to her story, instead of her just fizzling out.
Saeki, she started could, she was the voice of reason, but as the story progressed, the author made her come out like a bitch, which is so sudden and undeserved, i felt like the author was biased and hated that character.
Thats it just some thoughts. This is not a masterpiece, but im glad i read it.
Plot holes : kasuga and nakamura screaming outside of saeki's house but noone heard them, nakamura following kasuga and saeki on their dates, nakamura getting so close to kasuga's face but never kissing, the ease of which girls could out wrestle kasuga and even strip him multiple times. Girls like tokigawa that dont mind the height difference exist apparently, nakamura hit the bat next to kasuga's face but zero richochet to hit him in the head. The ease of which nakamura litterally pulled a FUNNY GAMES movie on kasuga's family. I really could go on and on, how bad the cops were at their jobs, the ink blocking the name. How nakamura just created a huge bucket out of thin air, and fill it up to the brim without making any noise, let alone filling it, but buckets of water make a noise when you just walk with them, the shaking makes the water splash around when you carry one. Tokigawa's boyfriend not whipping kasuga's ass. I could go on and on for days.

I really liked it at the beginning, the directing is amazing, the panel and the art are easy to follow and detailed, the character art designs are great and the backgrounds are fantastic.
So im ready, im sold , then the supernatural twist happens and its slowly losing me, as the supernatural twist is unfolding it starts getting very sexual and im almost out, the protagonist is trying to help characters with his supernatural abilities, but more and more its a woman with a sexual issue. be sexual. I started losing interested. So in the end the protagonist after helping all those people he starts losing himself and his identity, good for him, i was already out at this point.

Unlike sumire 16 sai, this is a spin off rather than a sequel. You can read them seperately. This version is a more young adult version with sexual anxiety and dating focused unlike sumire 16 sai. The Art is different the characters are different too. So you would get a basic understanding the puppeteer keeps going to highschool everytime he graduates he re-enters highschool. He is like a teacher technically. So this version is supposed to be after sumire 16 sai.

I read Mingo volume 1 due to being a big fan of Terrace House. When i saw the author on Terrace House describing his story as a comedy, I was expecting a light hearted story. Instead what i read was a little fucked up, explicit, full of nudity and anxiety. I really felt for the protagonist interacting with other characters at the night club or at auditions and how overwhelming Tokyo must be, the depiction of tokyo is phenomenal, the best part of the story.
Now for the negatives, I think the portayal of the female lead was a little weird, like if she is some

pure angelic figure, beyond the rest, not like those other slutty chicken heads.
Number 2, the italian characters had the mentality of we are italians we will give them some italy ok? and they turned into a caricature of themselves like they were straight out of a 60s mob movie.
Number 3, the protagonist realizes that italians are fantasized in Japan and have a lot of success with women, but if you take a quick look at the author you will quickly realise that he is an 11/10 very handsome man, so that made me think if he draws from experience and by that i dont think his italianess had nothing to do with him being very attractive, i get a feeling when reading his work, did this happen in his life? Did he miss identify the cause of the problem when writting his work?
I hope in the future Mingo focuses a lot more on communication and anxiety, i liked those parts and less on nationality and picking up chicks.

Do you like animes about anime conventions? i do. I saw this at first from anime man. Then I kept hearing about this manga until i decided to just buy it and give it a go... Gay social commentary Its a trend right now. So I go in expecting a cry-fest, i loved the pitch, i dig the concept i'm all in!!!
So I start reading it and in the first scene this 28-year old woman is in bed with a female escort, then it pauses and starts from her high school life...Why would you spoil the lesbian scene? I didn't like that.
So the book goes on, my biggest problem is that It's more of

a picture book than a comic book.The entire book is narrated and the pictures show an exaggerating depiction of the narration. It reminded me of cartoon story-time youtubers and I couldn't get past that, I would have prefered if this was a podcast or a stand up show, I don't get why was this in a comic book form, it clearly looks like a true story so why didn't she perform this story instead ?
Also a huge knit peak for me is when i read comics-mangas I like when the story comes from the characters, this entire book is narrated.
Last thing is that I felt the narrator was kinda preachy especially in the work force related subjects. I felt this book was more about being indie than homosexual, hahaha the book wasn't gay enough hahaha.
The art is amatuerish and it is pink colored which i hugely dislike these days when some manga will choose a color and everything that would be pink is colored pink...It throws me off, just be black and white, why color it if you are going to have only a single color?
The main character i explained earlier why i disliked her, and then the lesbian payoff finally happens and is meh, for me it upgraded it from a 2 to a 3.

hey man they are trying at yugioh corp. at least they are trying , this isnt really a 9 show . YOU NEED TO WATCH THIS TWICE. there is a huge plot twist towards the end that changes everything , at the beggining is hard to follow but paranoia agent is one of those shows that answers all the questions , its kinda heavy to digest if you are used to watching shounen battle animes , but is definetly worth the effort.
the store revolves around 2 cops , an animator , a prostitute , a dirty cop , a crazy old man , the dirty cop's daughter and 2 middle schoolers.
and what connects them is a series of assaults commited by ''shounen bat'' a serial assault
...
battery charger.
the 2 cops are in charge of the investigation and the rest of the cast are victims , the 2 cops try to solve this impossible case which leads them to the conclusion that not everyone is telling the truth.
who is telling the truth ? who is lying ? why are they lying ?
us the viewer get to watch all the stories without knowing which ones are truths and we learn the truth when the cops also find out.
that's what makes paranoia agent amazing and the reason why people quit the show too soon , i was not used to being lied as a viewer and uppon first viewing i also thought all the cases were truths , thats why watching it the 2nd time was so much better.
FUN FACT :
this was one of Robin's William favourite anime and got to meet the creators and he had a personal signed copy.

Shimoneta is unique.
It has a wacky plot which i'm not the biggest fan of , but is a set up for the jokes so it kinda works.
I found Shimoneta enjoyable , it's pretty good actually.
The only thing that holds it from being great , it's the rules of Shimoneta which are that high schoolers do not know about the concept of sex or porn is.It gets stupid sometimes.
If you plan to watch Shimoneta it's for the characters who are very memorable and hilarious.

Give it a watch it's not the worst anime out there.
You won't regret giving it a try.
