Both of these shows emphasise accepting ones' faults and admitting hard secrets in order to forge bonds. Both play up the power of friendship trope. Additionally, in both cases, the protagonists enter an alternate world to fight the evil in peoples' minds.

Both series focus on the importance of bonds and defeating the evil in peoples' psyche. A good portion of both series take place in an alternate world. Sarazanmai is a bit on the wackier side, but many of the core messages and themes of these series are the same.

A young man gets fused with a monster that hungers for human flesh and has to battle other monsters and struggle with adapting to his new life and what it means to be human. The plotlines for Parasyte and Tokyo Ghoul are extremely similar and both occupy the action-horror genre. Tokyo Ghoul is more battle-focused and action-packed, while Parasyte is more body horror.

Both are mysteries about orphaned children who explore and discover horrible secrets about the worlds they live in. Both shows are pretty dark. In both shows, this tone is contrasted by the presence of an optimistic and driven female protagonist. They are both excellent, high-quality stories with great world-building.

Sex jokes. Bathroom Humor. S&M. This about sums up the comedic styles of both Prison School and Gintama. The shows have excellent comedic timing, lowbrow humor, and lots of S&M fanservice. Unlike Prison School, Gintama mixes in a lot of parody humor, as well as action, feels, and serious arcs. Both shows are amazingly executed.

Kuzu no Honkai

These are both heavy coming of age stories that revolve around tumultuous relationships and broken people. Sexuality is a heavily emphasized theme in both shows and the main characters both pair up with people that bring out the worst in them. Both have a school setting. If you enjoy the characters and character interactions in one, you'll enjoy the other as well. For differences, Kuzu no Honkai has unrequited love/lust as a main theme, while Aku no Hana focuses a lot on fetishism (mainly sadism/masochism).

Both are heartwarming slice-of-life shows with a beautiful male cast. They both have an episodic format in which the main characters help someone with their problems. Both have lighthearted and touching atmospheres. The settings for both shows differ a bit. Fukigen na Mononokean has a more fantasy/sci-fi setting because it centers around helping yokai with their problems, while Rokuhoudou Yotsuiro Biyori is set in a cafe where the staff helps people with their problems. If you enjoy one, you'll probably enjoy the other.

Premises are very similar. Main character gets fused with evil/dark being, gains its' powers, and has internal struggles from trying to cope with being both human and a demon/ghoul. Both are dark, gritty, and violent. Devilman Crybaby more heavily emphasizes sexuality as a theme than Tokyo Ghoul. If you enjoy one, you'll probably enjoy the other.

Both are sci-fi slice of life shows about teenagers, centered on interpersonal relationships and difficulties. Expect character-driven dramas with love triangles. DitFxx has a larger romance and action component to it than Kiznaiver. However, both have similar mysterious atmospheres and theming (i.e. mysterious overseer in control of children/lab experiments). If you enjoy one of these anime, you most certainly would enjoy the other.

Both anime revolve around young girls with magic powers that visit a witch school. The character interactions and overall tone of the stories feel similar and both are very heartwarming. Both remind me of a shoujo version of Harry Potter. If you were wondering what it would be like if Mary enrolled at and stayed in the witching academy, you will love Little Witch Academia.

Kujira no Kora wa Sajou ni Utau

Children of the Whales strikes me as a shoujo version of Attack on Titan. Both shows incorporate apocalyptic world-building and humans defending themselves from wars from the outside world. They are both darker shows. Both shows are action-packed, but Attack on Titan has overall better action sequences and adds more emphasis on them. If you like shounen action anime, AoT is your better bet. Children of the Whales focuses on importance of emotions and has an overall more "shoujo" feel to it. The cast is primarily beautiful bishounen. If you're more keen on shoujo-style shows, CotW is your better bet.
