Simply kept;
This anime was one with great potential. The animation was well done, and it rarely got iffy.
Storyline and plot was great, or had very few flaws to speak of.
The characters were lovable, except for that one Captain (You know who I'm talking about Haha).
The world building was really good, you're thrown into a fantasy/military/magic mix, but you see no overpowered characters. It's just about one more person in this ever expanding world, making it great for immersion.
The key takeaway though, will be the fact that the story ends just as it gets to the climax. You're left wanting to see more, but
