This anime is for the outcasts, the night owls and those that just don't feel home in every day life.
I'm not going to touch the synopsis because it should be readily available here on MAL, but I will give more specific critique.
A couple of direct points of thought:
- The art work is beautiful, the music direction stunning; it's overall an entirely faithful adaption of the source material.
- Though the series as of now (6/12) feels slow to many, the pacing is on par with the manga and is a delight to watch.
- It's definitely made me laugh a few times even though the humour can
...
feel a little odd-ball at times.
It's been a while since anime specifically has made me think/feel or reflect on any part of my life, this anime has hit a spot.
In regards to those blatant negative reviewers who are clearly wrapped up in very American/Western ideology regarding the relationship between Ko and Nazuna: READ the MANGA FFS. It's not all so obvious in the anime (because it's a slow burn) but your over the top desire to treat fiction like it's reality is both baffling and a sign that you need to go out at night and touch some grass; or that you need to read the manga and reflect heavily on the plot presented there.
Anyway it's one of the few anime in recent time that I've enjoyed, so simply put: I recommend this. If you're on the fence about whether to give this a try, I mean three episodes are little over an hour of your time; if you're not sucked in then you've not lost much time.
