The characters of Love Hina celebrate the season to the fullest in this special, which features elements from the main series as well as new ones brought in with the season.
The story centers around, as the premise of the series itself, on a rumor that states that if you make a wish on this 'special christmas eve' at midnight it will come true. It zeros in on the romance between Keitaro and Naru, yet features each of the characters, a fact which cannot be forgotten. You see the truer sides of all the characters and see them interact more in one episode then is really
...
seen in any normal episode of the series: between Matsume and Keitaro, Shinobu and Keitaro, the girls towards eachother, and even a glimpse at Kitsunes past love towards Seta.
The story ends in what some may call tear jerking, others sickeningly cute, and Naru even (sort of) confesses to Keitaro.
It is a special that I would definately reccomend, and is definitely in the Christmas Spirit!

What if you lived in a world that was ended, and were completely alone? Yet you were brought joy from having the single friend near you, and the simple act of trying to make your dreams comme true with that friend by your side was enough to give you a point...
Clannad, on the surface, may seem like any other school-days romance, with a slight bit of comedy thrown in. But in truth its much more than that. A beautiful story, reaching to the very depth of every type of love and caring imaginable--whether that between friends, between families and between those
...
special people--is one that will make you cry out of both sadness and joy.
It focuses on a boy, a delinquent, who had let his life fall to ruin after his mother died and he injured his arm in a fight with his father, spoiling his dreams of becoming a proffessional basketball player. Yet he finds a new dream, in helping out those around him, most importantly, Nagisa Furukawa, a young lonely girl who wishes to rebuild the drama club and has a certain obsession with something by the name of 'The Big Dango Family" (which the ending theme song is actually after).
Through the moments of discovering dreams and working to make them true many friendships are made, and many hearts are healed. It is a beautiful heartwarming tale that approaches many issues that people has and, through them all, speaks of the hope that can be acheived and the beauty of life created by those who travel through life with us.
I would reccomend it to everyone! It really is a must see!

This show is beautiful--in plot, in characters, in feeling, and in music. Its bittersweet and yet heartwarming. It really does go into, as I read another reviewer say, as to how males and females are classified in this world. But its more than that, yes, while the situation is rather different, this series screams childhood. No, I do not mean that it is made for children, but rather to remind us who are no longer children of childhood. Never have I been able to relate to a series like I relate to this one, even though goodness knows I have never questioned my gender or
...
sexuality. But, from its slow piano music, to its soft laughter, to its beautiful water-colour style art, this show is sweetly nostalgic, reminding us of not just of how our childhood was to others, but of our feelings at that time.
I highly reccomend it, its not action filled, but as each series ends with its wonderful theme, 'For You' by Rie Fu, you cant help but smile :)

I suddenly have heard many things about people who didn't enjoy this movie...and frankly I don't know why :(
I am both an Earthsea and a Ghibli fan, with Ghibli being my favorite movie studio (hayaoi miyazaki my favorite director) and Ursala LeGuin being one of my favorite authors, no-one need say that I expected much from this movie. While it is true that I had not yet got to the fourth book (which this is based off of, those who do not know earthsea) of the series, I enjoyed recognizing the characters and the world.
Naturally, a few thigns were changed, and another few adapted,
...
but honestly, I dont think that Goro's father could have done a better job! He was able to capture both the breathtaking atmosphere as well as the bittersweet, and sometimes somewhat terrifying, aspects of Earthsea.
I know, you fans of Ghibli, that Goro used many things that you would expect more in the typical anime film--the slight overuse of blood in the dragon battle, the odd look of the lead antagonist--but really, it was needed.
And for those earthsea fans, yes, yet again Ged looked a bit too western, and the island culture may have been a little different than one have imagined, but goodniess knows I felt Earthsea!
but, even ignoring all of that, the movie was good jsut as a movie! Well acted, well drawn, and coupled with a beautiful fantasy music score.
I dont know about the critics and anime fans who rated this movie before me, but I personally thought it quite a wonderful work, and would gladly watch it quite a few more times, and definatly buy it! :)
Highly reccomended, jsut keep in minds that things chagne when a book is adapted, and jsut be glad the character's are recognizable and that they idnt pull an Ella Enchanted :P
