All Out!!

The primary main characters for both Haikyuu (volleyball) and All Out (rugby) are short/small sized boys that are extremely enthusiastic about the game they are learning to play. Both are looked down for their size and want to show everyone that they are capable of standing face to face with the best, despite being short. If you like watching underdogs learn and strive to be the best with a touch of comedy and drama here and there, then Haikyuu and All Out are perfect for you.

Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge

Kimi to Boku (KtB) and Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge (TwIK) are both about the daily lives of the main characters. In KtB, it is a group of 5 friends while it is just a pair in TwIK. Both animes have very similar art styles and both have an extremely calming atmosphere or 'feel' to it. They both mainly focus on comedy, however KtB has some drama once in a while. If you're looking for an easy and relaxing anime to watch, KtB or TwIK are great 'healing' animes.

The world in OPM and BHA are both populated with a ton of heroes. However in OPM, only a hand full of heroes have super powers while it is basically rare for a person to not have a Quirk (powers) in BHA. The animation in both series are great. It is definitely more detailed in OPM while BHA takes a more 'comic book' like animation style. If you like watching an anime filled with people using superpowers to fight each other, both OPM and BHA are perfect for you. OPM takes a comedic/gag route while BHA has a more serious take on the 'superhero' genre (don't get me wrong. BHA is still pretty funny).

K-On! and Love Lab are just jam packed with awesome moe-ness! Both series consist of a bunch of cute highschool girls who work together to achieve their respective goals. K-On! focuses more on practicing their instruments and putting up good performances (enjoying cake and tea as well). While Love Lab focuses more on the research and experimenting of the many aspects of.... love. If you enjoy cute girls doing cute things which causes them to end up in hilarious situations, then watch either :D

Hai to Gensou no Grimgar

Both animes revolve around the MCs being stuck in a game world. Both animes are about the journey to basically survive or complete it. Hai to Gensou no Grimgar is a more serious take on the 'game world' genre. It is more realistic as the main characters are really struggling in the game world (no over powered characters). It is also very slow paced (though I think it is perfect that way). Kono Subarashii is way more light hearted and is more focused on getting the viewers to laugh. Its a blast and you'll understand once you watch the first episode. The voice acting is on point as well.

Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru
|
Gosick and Sakurako-san are animes which star a female protagonist who are great at solving mysteries. However, the female MC in Gosick is a loli who is basically a crime solving genius while the female MC in Sakurako-san is a mature (extremely debatable due to her personality) woman who loves studying bones which then gives her the knowledge to solve mysteries. Both animes also have a male protagonist which basically acts as their guardian or aide. Compared to the female protagonists, the male characters don't really have skills or knowledge that can help solve problems. However, the male characters are crucial in keeping the female protagonists safe (Gosick) and also keeping them in line (Sakurako-san). Gosick has a really gothic, European setting (something like the Industrial Age in London), with the art making it look a little more dark or depressing (in a good way). While Sakurako-san is set in the 21st century and the animation and colors are absolutely gorgeous.

1. Both animes have young MCs who dream to make it big in the food industry (one a baker, the other a great cook). 2. Both are young culinary geniuses. 3. Throughout the anime, the MCs would meet crazy competitors, friends and side characters (occasionally, there would be normal ones). 4. Tasting their food would result in insane, out of this world reactions (basically foodgasms). If you're a shounen fan that enjoys how food looks in anime, either series are highly recommended.
